drive up the main road, just past the security office turn right up a ramp into the parking lot, go straight, drive around to the other side (just follow the road), on the other side instead of taking the exit, drive into the reserve area, park there, but keep your fingers crossed you dont get a ticket even if you do, wont matter, they cant do anything to you unles you plan on getting several more of them in the future

i would like to come, but im supposed to go to another party, so i'll see what happens. if i come, i'll bring goodies

Posted by ktracid on Mar-31-2007 00:16:

oh sorry lol

ok, so you walk all the way to the end where it says 'reserved parking', there, you will see a doorway, walk through it, keep walking straight, keep left, till you see a room with glass doors and high windows, there will be light and bunch of posters around and sometimes there's a sign outside showing the station's schedule

Posted by ktracid on Mar-31-2007 00:43:

cool cool... i was interested in starting up a radio show... but not just trance but electronic music in general... add in a bit of house.. breaks... maybe dnb ... progressive... something really diverse. unfortunately i lack mixing skills or radio skills... should i still have it as a possible dream or just forget about it

Posted by AquaYak on Mar-31-2007 03:29:

I have some great ideas for last tracks.

For a while i thought it might be Gamemaster

Posted by ktracid on Mar-31-2007 03:34:

can i bring external hard drive? maybe some track ideas?.. oldies..stupid tracks.. whatnot .... my 130gb+ of music are rusting

Posted by Armitage on Mar-31-2007 05:54:

Just a few more minutes

I really, really wanted to make it down to the station but it just doesn't work out. I might call in again but I'll be listening from home the whole way through!

radio skills can be taught, mixing skills are not necessary (angelo didn't mix, he tried crossfading once in awhile, and on occasion pulled it off, but again, wasn't necessary and sometimes reaallly wasn't necessary ).

at this point you would have to approach the radio station manager, contact them, and begin discussions to acquire a show. ask sean details about what they might expect from you, if you're truly interested (and dedicated, rain or shine, sick or not, they don't take kindly to dead air).

I recorded the entire thing off of the 128 kpbs MP3 stream, so it's pretty good quality. The only problem is the encoding is a little shoddy... Windows media player refuses to play it, but it works fine on winamp.

exactly what greg said
and to add, you go through a course once your show is accepted. its free, of course, and they teach you what you need to know to be a radio show host.

plus, they are always looking for volunteers to do shows

Posted by ktracid on Mar-31-2007 19:57:

i would love to do it but unfortunately i know myself and.. yea.. besides the fact that i would prolly suck @ it.. i'm afraid of... commitment lol.. and i do not wish to dissapoint people

Posted by ktracid on Mar-31-2007 20:06:

oh and sean.. the last part of the thrillseekers was funny... i dont think u realised that it was on MONO and i could only hear on the right side... then u mixed to the next song and that one was on the left side only then u fixed it

That happened a few times last week, I thought it was just me though.

I've got the file uploaded, I don't think there are any legal problems with posting it, right?

funny thing about canada, its only illegal to upload pirated content, but not illegal to download it. i think its illegal to record off the radio and to post it, but who cares? post it. actually i'm waiting for apri's copy since she claims to have the whole thing!

Posted by Armitage on Apr-01-2007 00:21:

Ok, here's the link:

[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

Like I said, it may not work in WMP. If someone could re-encode it properly that'd be great.

and when did i ever say that??

radio is an iffy one, btw. technically, what is being broadcasted is for the public realm, and what's public, cannot be copyrighted. and if all arguments fail, well livesets have been posted online forever and have never caused any copyright issues.

be careful, or else the americans will run out of countries to invade, and then they'll unleash the supremely intelligent RIAA on the world and then we're all doomed. after all, any organization that sues the pants off of 10 year old girls must be absolutely feared.

Posted by DjCommisad on Apr-02-2007 09:05:

ps, usually sean's sets are like 'meh' for me, a few good ones, a bunch of stuff i don't care for/indifferent, but that list looks pretty good (except sandstorm).
