It's not irrational at all. Your environment plays a huge part in your day-to-day life. If you're not happy in the country, don't stay there. I for one couldn't stand living anywhere to far from a major metropolis. It's a completely different social environment.

How can you say that and live in Laval! That's light years away from montreal!

Oh and fuck not living in a city... for me it's either in a city or completely isolated in mts, etc. no inbetween suburbia bs

I know, and I hate it. :/

There's so little to do here it's not even funny. I can't move out right now because I simply can't afford it. The rents downtown are just crazy. I barely go out because with the shitty transport services we have, I have to leave downtown by 11 (as in, when all the fun stuff starts) if I want to get home before 2am, or at all. A couple of times I've pulled all-nighters, but only when I didn't have work or school the next day. If I'm lucky I can catch a train (real train, not crappy metro!) and get home in just a little over an hour, which is nice. The most I'm doing these days is going to a poker tournament twice a week (mclean's on mondays ) and even then, sometimes I make final table and I have to give up all my chips and go home because the last train of the night is about to leave. Believe me I can't wait to move away from here.

fuck dude that SUCKS! i used to live in a small town and fucking hated it there. none of the pub transit came there and had to drive EVERYWHERE. the pub transit sucked for the city area too since it wasnt a large metro area. it was just a small city with 1mil people. so i feel your pain. thank god i wasnt 21+ then either though.

So, it definitely took a toll on us. She spent most of her time studying, I felt neglected... so we broke it off. in retrospect, I regretted the decission for a long time but in the end it worked out for both.... Ironically, she's with an older guy (10 years older than she is) and I am.... with her brother's best friend's sister.

I think I got a better part of the bargain...
that's my mantra and I'm sticking to it! So what that she has a Ph.D. in Business from ivy league school and has a 6 figure income, and more mature, and more responsible, and... a squirter with bi tendencies!!! Who cares about all that!!! Right?

Ah, who am I kidding?!

Good deal !!

loser
