| Originally posted by igottaknow the real annoying spam can't be unsubscribed to because it's sent illegally, by unscrupulous people with automated software that sends thousands of these emails to lists that they've acquired or have been given. You could use spambob.net but you need to get a new email address and use aliases, never divulging your true address even to your sister. I mean especially your sister or any noob who sends you free email birthday cards. |

gmail was great till spams arrived...
now out of 166 spams i get 4 that dont get filtered through
(i didnt check my gmail during my week away)
Gmail hands down
one of my gmail account traps opver 3,000 emails a month and out of that theres maybe 100 that get through thats a pretty good ratio if you ask me.
gay mail fooreva!
1.) Use whatever e-mail provider you want... out of the "big ones", it hardly matters as far as spam is concerned.
2.) Sign up for a junk e-mail account at hotmail or wherever is easily accessible. I have one called [email protected], which I use for signing up for anything that I know is going to give me junk mail. I don't care, it's my crap address which only exists when I need "e-mail activation" or something similar.
2b.) Alternatively, use http://www.10minutemail.com for these features.
3.) Only give your e-mail address to people you trust, etc. Don't ever post your e-mail address on forums and such, like I did above. Unless it's a junk one, like above.
4.) Unsubscribing only serves to prove that the e-mail account is active (unless it's from a legit company, etc.)
Gmail , of course.
I use gmail and have 1 paid account I actually don't pay for anymore lol but I still have it
i bought a gmail invite on ebay 4years ago. i LOVE gmail but there is still one thing i have hated about it. no fucking folders!
gmail: for mostly everything
old hotmail account: for signing up for shit where i think i might get spammed
work email: for work stuffs
Yahoo, for miscellaneous. Gmail for school, work, E-bay.
gmail. Though I'm not a fan of how they monitor extensively, but I bet that's becoming standard with most email clients any more.
