save ur hard earned money. i say with no shame and regrets, as a trance head, id go to digweed any day over oakie, i have never enjoyed any of oakie's sets. he was aweful at BED when he played there and last time he was at crobar i tolerated only due to a sick opening set by matt dekay.

hahah I doubt I will go to either, I should have said...."if I could go...I would pick...."

I have had BORING experiences with digweed. I haven't had ANY with oakenfold. Thus my opinion. HOwever, my ass isn't going anywhere the weekend before Bal en Blanc. Thats just too much for my body!!

toronto...labour 2 tears ago, and once before that, I dont remember the year. That one was back in the day when I didn't even know who was playing, I was just there to party!! lol

The labour of love one was particularly awful. He played FIRST at 9:30 pm and it made me TIRED. I was bored to TEARS....worst set I have ever heard....not because of his skills but because the lack of energy. The room was like empty LOL. I *might* give him another chance if it wasn't the weekend before Bal.

I agree. When I am given the option of House vs. Trance it's trance all the way!!! Even if its Oakie. I don't have a hatred for him like some of you do but he is definetely no where near my top 10.

This should have been a poll. LOL

Posted by DirtyDave on Mar-09-2007 17:02:

Havent seen Diggers since S&D March of '04..its about time...and MSTRKRFT's album is pretty hot...gonna be darky and dirty...I can feel it!!

Posted by Blake on Mar-09-2007 17:08:

DIG-WEED!!

Can't wait for this! Also I'm dying to hear 'MSTRKRAFT - Paris' in sorround sound omgsick!!

lol yeah a poll would have been interesting but predictable.

i <3 trance but im wayyy pickier now with tracks/productions
all i know is that at the last two digweed parties i was dancing nonstop and that to me is enough to judge

oakie to me is boring but to each his/her own

Thanks for the support! but I knew when I posted this that I would get slammed big time. I'm actually amazed, people were so much nicer than expected.

And it was exactly what I needed. As I posted earlier, it shook me out of my coma...

Diggers will knock you right back into one. And I mean that in a good way.

NICE!!!

anyway not sure if this will sway ur decision. but Pete Tong wasn't all that great when he came to NYC last time. I only went cuz my godbro was back from San Jose/it was a friend's bday.

I hate to admit but Oakie's Perfecto on tour shows on Sirius are actually pretty good. Yea he can't mix but his track selection is pretty good. I was planning on going to studio on the 31st but after listening to his trance energy set I think I'm gonna pass. Yankeebaby: You're not alone. Digweed bores me too.

digweed (in the times ive seen him) plays alot different than his radio show...much darker and harder IMO.

I think it all depends on where he plays as well. I have a ton of live sets from him and it seems as though his sound just varies all over the place. But for the majority of his sets, you are right. His set at Nation last year was evil!

I haven't listened to his radio show. I've dled some of his recent sets here and there. I've seen him live a bunch of times mostly back in the day at Twilo.
