I think good mixing has definately helped Armin climb up, but more than that, he is a good person at heart and care for others, treats everyone equally small or big, he cares for his fans and he respects them, thats what took him much higher.

I dont know about him gettin better. But he seems to be going back more to his melodic and euphoric style to the techy harder stuf he was playing for the last couple of years. When he plays that style no its not anything new or clever but as far as the big trance djs go hes probably the best like in 2004.

By the time that happens, my chagrin will hopefully have moved onto better things than crying over big name DJs like Armin.

So true. As much as i loved Armin Only last year it was a pale imitation to TIC. The MC was so embarassing

Actually, the next logical step would be to rename his A State Of Trance DJ mix compilations into a one-African-word series, mainly to attract a more 'mature' crowd.

In the Tiesto Blueprint of all things DJ, he'd have to be no.1 first before altering his series accordingly.

Man I wish I was you! Working as a game tester for EA and having...was it aspergers or something? That's the life!

I threw up a little in my mouth.

btw I cant see Armin van Buuren live, it gives me the creeps. Always laughing and clapping, it gives him that cheesy image when he does that. He is some kind of clown. I like to see a dj being focused, concentrated and serious. So i rather listen to his sets on the internet.

i agree but thats not always the case, some dj's interact with the crowd great and it makes the set better, while some dont and are just focused on wat they are doing and its still brilliant. avb should definitely try and be the latter

You are a grinch aren't you

You're just adding +1 to the people "that sit behind pc and never go out" bunch, the last thing world needs is another PvD

I guess you don't see it but it's these things that set Armin from the rest of them DJs, it's why people love him, but hey let's be just serious and unhappy, yea, that's why I go to the party, BS!

Posted by the gamemaster on Mar-10-2007 08:43:

i never go out? lol yea like u know me and all and thats not relevant anyway.

and im all up for dj's being more the performance type but avb tries to be that and he fucking sucks which is why i think he should be the latter, i dont think we need another pvd though..and no it isnt wat sets him apart. nothing sets him apart at the moment except the fact that he is so well known, there are a million dj's with more talent than him that u have most likely never heard of and definitely never seen if u think he is a deserving top ranking dj.

you are wrong on all accounts, shut the fuck up and get out

Posted by Fresh Prince on Mar-10-2007 10:21:

Oh wow I've just been told!! wow wow, haha

You're to lame to discuss anything with, listen to your other million djs who are so talented and in such demand you can't possibly go see them and have such crowd interaction they bring mummys to life.

Me, my poor self, I'll go see Armin instead alone on the floor

Armin's NOT a rip-off! He, like, does tricks and stuff during breakdowns. Like multiple Jesus poses. And, if you toss him a hockey jersey, he'll put it ON! That's TOTALLY worth the extra $20-$40 to see him!

i used to be more of a listener to him before, but not really now. he gets my respect, no doubt, but he's not one of my favorites.

to be more positive about the situation, he is a hot man.

Tbh i think Armin's antics behind the decks are attributed to him loving what he does and the music that he plays rather than him "trying" to put on a "performance". Unlike Tiesto who does all the showman thing

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Not a bad thing either, to be enthusiastic about the music you're playing.

It's silly, tho', when you see his fanboys pointing that out as one of the reasons he's a superb DJ.
