False Alarm. I Went in today to get him order a couple of extra sets, and he told me when he called his supplier, they told him "Sorry, prices subject to change without notice." They realised they'd f**ked up ther catalogue. Ah, F**K it, they go back onto my list of "When i have saved enough." Shit Z700's are cheap enuff on ebay, might go that way for the time being.

Z700's aren't the same as V700's, despite what they say on ebay. Theres a reason they are so cheap, being Japanese imports aren't it. search in the DJ Booth for them, I think theres been a few threads about them in there.

Look at the Sony V6 (or 7506). Cheaper than most DJing headphones and just as good, sturdy and sound fantastic. Email the boys at StoreDJ, they'll help you out.

I Know what you are saying, but the frustrating thing is i have got my friends set of HD-25's on loan at the moment, and they have to go back to him in the next couple of weeks, so i'll need something to "Tide me over" Until i cn afford what i really want. It's a pain in the arse coz i'm an unemployed TAFE Student at themoment, so funds are kind of tight. Hang on, a thought just occured to me,....... Am going to have to go to that shop tomorrow. might be able to pull summat outta my arse for now which will give me a pretty decent set for now (SP's) Hmmmm.......... To Be continued!

Get the MDR-V6 Sony's, the MDR V700's are really not worth any kind of money regardless of how cheap and that's after I've owned a pair of 700's since about 2000 or so.
Just trying to give you some friendly advice no need to get cranky at me... you can spend the money but I don't think you're getting value even if they are on special.

If your looking for something to tide you over. Ive just recently bought hd25s and am wanting to sell my old pioneer dj5000 heapdphones. Do a search, there the ones before the hdj1000's, and they dont suffer from any of the band cracking issues of the 1000's.

Have been holding onto them as a backup pair, but with the hd25s im not ever really gonna need a backup. I'd let them go for 100 bucks. Bought them for 200 8 months ago.

clicky

Let me know if your interested.

Nothing but.

beg borrow or steal...get the hd25's...i've personally been through 2 sets of headphones before I chimed in on the HD25's....you will thank us all you did!

HD-25's ftw.

My Sony's lasted about 12 moths before the casing cracked.

For sound quality, reliability & the fact that you can replace each part individually almost if there is a problem (rather than having to buy a whole new pair oh headphones), HD25's are the best headphones on the market by an absolute mile.

Just a thought...

Surely they should be called headspeakers?

Another vote for HD25's, can't go past them.
They might look and feel a bit fragile, but fuck they pwn. Nothing even comes close for clear bass and awesome noise cancellation imo.
