it wasn't the decorating that you did that is ghey. its that you shopped here!

haha, just kidding. looks good! altohugh i don't care for that green color. i'd do more of a sand or something if i was to have a "surf" theme

Hey igottaknow, can you help me with my place? I need a straight plan for the gay man.

Oh and your bathroom reminds me of the ocean/sea more than " a day at the beach" While taking a shower I might be tempted to sing " Under the Sear" from "The Little Mermaid".

if you're looking to add another color, i would consider re-tiling. Shiny new tile can really spruce up a place.

Posted by Frenchie on Mar-15-2007 02:12:

I wouldn't be putting too much money into something that isn't yours to keep unless you're planning on living there for a looooooooong time.

Posted by bas on Mar-15-2007 02:19:

That's a terrible bathroom. Queer Eye would do so so SO much better.

Posted by Frenchie on Mar-15-2007 02:23:

*Throws pie at Bas*

No.

True, true... unless all this work has cut your rent cost.

Don't do the busy shower curtain! That hideous surfboard dust collector is busy enough for the bathroom, hall, dining and bedroom. Stick to solids from here on out. And what is 'beachy' without some negroid with the dreads somewhere in there?

I like your texturizing too.

that's hot. i really like what you did with the bottom cabinets (blue and white)

i also like the tissue holder...

ha ha

bty, that show was awesome, learned allot about personal grooming that totally changed my complexion. IE: shaving with short strokes as opposed to just swiping down the face in one single movement and using an exfoliate before shaving...

can teach an old dog new tricks

On second thought the Queer Eye guys would do so so so so so SO SO so so SO much better. That is the ugliest color scheme I've ever seen. Plz change the thread title to remove any relation to a job well done.

Posted by igottaknow on Mar-15-2007 12:58:

thx for all the positive comments and suggestions. It was a lot of work sanding, taping, priming, painting, and cleanup, but I think it was well worth it and I had fun in the process. I'll look at some warm colored curtains to balance out the cool colors and add a couple of wall hangings.

Posted by DJ Sid on Mar-15-2007 12:59:

i like it! it's waaaay better than before

i especially like the little blue doors

...IMO

+1

u tried though dear, but sorry. i think w/ that outdated tile, you need to go with darker, richer colors, not bright ones to bring it out.

should have done the wall in like an orangey/yellowish brown color and the cabinets either brick red or eggplant...
