You cant mean his gig in 2005...

Posted by ravemeister on Mar-21-2007 23:36:

Yes, december 9th 2005. Am I wrong? Did it suck? I just remember having a blast, maybe it wasn't all about his set, the entire night was awesome, so maybe that's why it stuck in my head.

Posted by Mitsutranza on Mar-22-2007 01:27:

Everyone I know that went, including me, had a blast in december 2005 when Satoshi came. It's only Alex that didn't like it for some reason

...was more of a joke referring to the seemingly minimal presence of well known Japanese DJs (at least in my perception of the scene)

time to fucking party again

Posted by SummerWolf on Mar-24-2007 11:53:

Creator: awesome set has usual... i fucking loved it. we need some sort of extended set next time... not only 2 hours. that aint enough.

satoshie... a few good tracks... no energy. i was bored. really bored. to the point i became really grumpy. im on vacation and for me to leave at 7am was weird. i was falling asleep dancing. i couldnt get a groove. fuck. i dunno... maybe it was just me...

meh...

but...

great to see many TAs out... always fun to party with you guys!!!

Stereobar:
- Sauna
- Terrible sound
- Why call it the "drink deal" if you don't receive the tickets?

Anyway, so far I'm not impressed.

Stereo was good when Martin was on. Good job man, that was the highlight of the night for me. Satoshi was meh . He def. didn't realize he played FUCKING LOUD. Most of his tracks sounded pretty much the same BOOM BOOM BOOM because of his volume rape.

Hi2newfaces : SummerWolf, nick84, and some noob Allied Nations.

Posted by Anne on Mar-24-2007 16:09:

J'tais sens y aller hier et j'avais le deal du stereobar mais finalement mes plans ont chang je pensais juste aller au stereo a la place mais pour seulement 1h ou 2h....et puis je me suis rendu compte que payer 35$ pour 1 ou 2h c'est un peu cher.....j'espre que c'tait le fun!!

Posted by Alex on Mar-24-2007 16:46:

LOL

Satoshie strikes again!!

after 8 am satoshi exploded.

10/10 music for me, but i can REALLY see how some people wouldnt dig it at all.

Posted by ELICIT on Mar-24-2007 21:12:

hugeeeeee set! i don't know how some of u didn't like it. excellent progression, nice darck tracks. one of the best sets i heard at stereo so far. satoshi all the way

Posted by Mitsutranza on Mar-24-2007 21:23:

I thought he was going to become sicker toward the end, I was just way too tired to stay for that. Fuck, the first two hours (and apparently three because one of the TAs left at 7) were extremely underwhelming overall. Nice industrial prog with exceptional mixing (this is no compliment since its fuckin Tomiie, the mixing BETTER be good!) but over-all it's as if his tracks didn't live up to his name.

What happened to you Satoshi?

There was only one track I remember, and that was a nice moment, all TAs including Ravemontreal were on the floor and this tack kicked in like a rampant monster: loud (but not as loud as 80% of the tracks that made me feel like my eardrums will start bleeding) and fucking menacing, with a ripping electro base-riff and (my favorite) an undescribable melody made in beautiful spooky fashion. That is the Satoshi that made me go mental back in December and I thought to myself: "Yes, I can see him now, it's Tomiie!". Alas it wasn't meant to be, after that he just went back to playing the music that didn't exactly know where to go; deep house, funky house, hard house, minimal; while at the same time making you jealous of him because he wore fucking earpieces and he was killing OUR ears. Damn it, I wanted to have such a good time.

Creator on the other hand was sick, I got there just about for his last hour, and it was banging . Making the house really lose their heads over energetic and rock-influenced eletro, he paved the way nicely for Satoshi who stumbled on the decks and apparently saved his best for last coz his beginning was mediocre. Creator outdid Satoshi musically from what I witnessed. Kudos.
I wanted to hear that 'You're Rude' (?) track from your Fantastic Machine mix but I guess you must have played it before I came. Nevertheless, it was nice chatting with you and your set was excellent!
I do miss the 6 hour Aria madness though

I came in around 4h30, the place was full and satoshi played some evil tunes! His set was just awesome, but I agree with Enjoy sometimes a little bit loud. The music was PERFECT.The crowd was cool, not too young!
9/10 for Satoshi

Nice to see you Greg, always a pleasure,
Val what time you left??
Brendan,Anna...nice see you

Jonathan
