pvd to the guy to his left who is standing there with no smile on his face

"look at the shit i can play for these zombies, they just eat it up!"

Posted by Clovis on Mar-21-2007 20:52:

Get off the filter man. lol

Look at the sea of outstretched hands.

Reminds me of nothing so much as a church service full of pious people singing hymns. Let us all worship the DJ...

Next thing you know, Tiesto will be going around doing this to crowds:

Man I'd be so embarrassed if I was DJing and everyone did that to me

One of the reasons i've stopped listening to trance anymore (other than the older stuff)...too many vocals, or cheap sounding productions. The technology may make it sound better than say the stuff in the mid and late 90s, but since at least 2005...it's gone completely down hill. At least the stuff in the mid and late 90s, and in the early part of the 00s, it sounded quite good, and more original IMO. Miss stuff like Free Radical's "Surreal (En Motion Mix)", Yahel's "Voyage", Hydra's "Affinity", Insigma's "Open Your Eyes", The Quest's "C-Sharp", Solar Stone's "Seven Cities" and Salt Tank's "Dimension", among countless others. That sound was so good back in the day...seems like it's fewer and far between these days. If your looking for better music, i'de check out melodic progressive house/trance, like stuff on Toes In The Sand, No Smoking and Tilth.

hbahahahhahha

and the pvd video was shit.

Posted by Sykonee on Mar-21-2007 21:12:

Watching that PvD video, you really, really, really, REALLY have to wonder if PvD is just having a big ol' piss-take with this song. Like, he's going to pull a KLF style stunt down the road once this blows up big big big.

Posted by nefardec on Mar-21-2007 21:13:

Paul van Dyk is wearing a very similar suit to that of the evangelist in his myspace picture...

@Sykonee - I seriously think he was joking about the situation with that guy on stage...haha

he calls the filter a "hands up machine"

I think this might well be the case. If so hes well and truely got Armin eating from his tree too. Would PVD be that cynical? I think he might be!

Posted by Trancefxs on Mar-21-2007 21:26:

Pvd laughing told to the guy on his left: "Look, I can spin even the most shittiest track of the moment and they are still dancing and screaming for me."

@ the fool who brought a cardboard sign to a show.

I was gonna go with some atrocious track that gets played between innings at a baseball game, but that one is just horrid.

Posted by RJT on Mar-22-2007 04:51:

I don't know what you guys are talking about

Future of trance, IMO!

Posted by spc on Mar-22-2007 04:55:

Kinda makes me wonder what Filo & Peri do in their spare time. If you catch my drift.

That would be grand publicity.

on an unrelated note.. i've never gotten why people assume that raising arms in the air is always seen as a way of showing appreciation/'worshipping' the dj. i just see it as something to do instinctively in breakdowns when i'm enjoying the music, even if i have no idea who's on & i'm down the front with my back to the speaker

Aye, social conditioning and whatnot *blush*

The other thing about this track that does my nut in the emo guitar strumming on the breakdown

Best post in this thread

If not playing Filo & Peri - "Anthem" makes me a failure as a DJ, I don't ever want to be successful.
