underground afterhours

I usually spend a couple weeks in toronto per year. Last year after labor of love we found the sketchist after hours place.

We were out enjoying a nice walk through the city and decided to ask a cab driver where the after hours is at.

He took us to this place on queens st. that was below a salon with the label "Q" They played some alright beats but I think i could of done alot better. The Dj seemed like a noob.

We were still partying after LOL and the security guard approached me and asked if i had any drugs, after i said no, he tried to sell me e and coke. That was a 1st for me. Later on in the night alot of Jamaicans came in and the place started to smell like some one of smoking crack.

Soon I saw that these two strippers were smoking crack. Then we left at about 8am as my friend had gotten out of control and was about to cause a scene.

Does anyone know of anymore underground afterhours?

He did NOT just mean after-hours clubs. You can tell his general intention is clubs or venues that play trance or house music.

Gosh.

I was at Crosstown at Queen + Bathurst a few weeks ago on a Saturday night after Footwork. I got there around 4am and there was a pretty big line up. Luckily the girl I was with somehow got us inside quickly.

The beats were actually very sweet. I am not even sure what the genre was, maybe something like "vocal house". The place seemed a bit sketch at first, but we made our way to the front at danced the night away.

Went to Pulse on a Thursday night after Hotel. My buddy and I were certainly two of only a handful of non-Asians in the place, but I don't think anybody minded. The place was also packed.

The beats were very solid. I asked the DJ his name at the time because I was definitely feeling the music - DJ Little Badass was his name (hehe).

Anyway, these two places definitely jam out early into the morning.

Yep. They use to get good talent 3-4 years ago when they first opened. Johan Gielen, Cosmic Gate, DuMonde, John '00' Fleming etc...

I use to go there a lot when I was high school. The lighting is on par with guv in my opinion. Sound system will kill guv/make you deaf.

I stopped by there a couple times in the last 2 months. It seems it isn't as packed as it use to be and all ages sucks :P

To add on your list, Room 19 (aka d2/drop zone)

If that place is still open?

edit: I think mark oliver use to have residency there on fridays.

Yeah I remember going to see Cosmic Gate there, I wish I can see them again, they got pretty sick new tracks.

Room 19 (D2/Drop Zone) closed a couple years ago, it's now an all you can eat sushi place now.

I believe Mark Oliver still have residency at Viva but for a couple hours. Last time I was there like three months ago he was on at 4 AM
