I am sure the rain screwed up their Mansion set as well and that is why they blew chunks there as well in an INDOOR venue.

Or maybe Sasha's computer ran out of batteries @ Mansion, or maybe he was PMS'ing and ran out of midol so he couldn't play good, or maybe Digweed was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome from DJing so long, or maybe Digweed couldn't see the mixer through his long hair. Excuses excuses. Give me a break. Whether it was indoors or outdoors, rain or shine, Sasha & Digweed sucked @ WMC, deal with it.

I think you are confusing what Rukes is trying to say. Maybe you have an opinion about the night but according to Swamper and myself, we both agreed that S&D KILLED IT at Mansion. Maybe you was at a different party?

I do agree though digweed naturally started slow, but come around 1AM when Sasha got on the decks until the end, they literally killed it!

I seriously doubt Digweed is trying to play ANYONE's style but what he likes....

That really blows that so many of you didnt enjoy the show....
Rare that these 2 together sucked to say the least

Very few of the people giving negative reviews in this thread are individuals whose musical preference is at all relevant enough to review a Sasha & Diggers party.

In fact, I'd wager to say that due to a few of the negative reviews, I'm inclined to believe the show was actually fucking awesome.

SVD PVD EDGAR V all sucked in wmc

I understand how you can possibly say that about PVD, but how you can say that about SVD!
How can you even say that about Edgar V! Edgar V will play just as good if not better then any dj he is opening for, fuck id rather see him spin then S&D anyday.

got to mansion around midnight. it was my first time there and i've got say i was very surprised by the size of the venue. You'd never know it would be that big based on the single double-doors and small boutiques surrounding it. i've got to agree though, the layout, with the VIP smack in the middle, wasn't dance friendly. Towards the middle of the night, as i was walking back to my spot towards the front, i turned too early and accidently ended up in the VIP only stayed there for about 2 minutes before i felt out of place being the only one dancing

as far as the music...i was getting rather annoyed with digweed's set. my friends left in the middle of his set out of tiredness from the day and boredness with his set. but as far as sasha and them together, they rocked it. was my first time seeing them together and was impressed.

Agreed 100%.

If the mansion set was anything like the Ultra set [[ LINK REMOVED ]]

Then I'm sure it's good, I'm also inclined to believe my gf, who was at mansion, over some rando people on a board.

Svd played the same set 3 times down in wmc.

Digweed started off slow, but Sasha tore is up with his set. We stood along the side balcony all night and danced our asses off with plenty of space. We made is down front a couple time and the vibe was real nice.

Sasha definetly showed up Diggers but over all the show was great.

Agreed. I thought S&D were very solid @ Ultra - I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about technical issues but the sound coming off the decks was of a very high caliber.

Sadly, only the first hour seems to have been recorded, which is a shame because the 2nd hour and change was sickness, imo.

Or maybe you just don't like Sash & Dig because everyone else seems to have had a great time lol

i don;t get u guys

i thought mansion was a super nice club

and i thought Sasha & Digweed KILLED it

Sasha was better than digweed

i remember hearing people outside the door saying how good the music was

u guys expect too much

Posted by epdarks on Mar-27-2007 02:42:

There was no killing of Mansion what so ever. The 2 weren't even into their set. Probably because they were playing for a bunch of fake ass prissy fags. Half of the crowd was just standing around talking the entire time. Digweed barely looked up from his decks and I promise you he never put his hand in the air once. Sasha stood around and smoked a few cigs looking up occasionally.

I'm into their music but something was very off this night. Maybe it was the vibe of Mansion but as hard as I tried I could NOT get into their set... believe me I tried after paying $50 to get in.

Different strokes I guess...

Let's be honest, reviews have been mixed at best. But I am not gonna argue with you anymore, because things already got ugly for nothing because there is nothing to argue about or win here. If you like them, see them, if I don't I won't.

BTW I have been a fan of theirs, but always liked Sasha alone better than S&D together. And recently I have not liked what they have been playing, and did not think you guys should have attacked people when they stated negative opinions b4 I ever posted in here, so I chimed in and it lead to needless BS. I am sure we all have bigger fish to fry now that WMC is over and it's back to real life.

Peace.

being that you said in your OP this was your first time seeing either dj, i'm gonna let you in on a little secret.

digweed is not an animated dj, he is always focused on the decks/mixer, it's the way he's always been and the way he'll always be.

my gf went to this gig and she said she saw sasha more animated behind the decks than she's ever seen (jumping around n what not)

Posted by epdarks on Mar-27-2007 06:17:

Point taken about Digweed.

Sasha didn't seem into it to me....

I'm glad you guys had a great time... me or my 3 friends just didn't enjoy the music... we agreed it was a bit 'boring'. Mansion was terrible too...

Not trying to piss on Sasha and Digweed fans...

i've been seeing them since twilo in nyc and i can say this was probably the best set i've seen them rock together besides delta heavy's launch at miami arena...

So what your saying is that this set topped any twilo gig ever?

Posted by pyro264jb on Mar-27-2007 15:16:

Nathan Fake - Outhouse (Valentino Kanzyani mix)
Deff got us going toward the middle of the set. I have to admit I left at 4 am but up until that time I never really felt like they had that twilo thunder that I felt at space last march.

When Sasha came on after Digweeds slow first hour, the place went nuts. I thought there set was great, and after all the bad reviews of Mansion, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience.

Posted by pyro264jb on Mar-27-2007 15:23:

Well I would take the reviews on this board with a grain of salt. Alot of these trance headz wouldn't know what good progressive was if it hit them on the head.
