It was funny, but Britannica was only like 78% accurate, versus Wikipedia which was like 73%. There's your little wiki knowledge for the day! ie...give wikipedia the credit it deserves :P |
Electronica is just a very bland term, I figured most people on this site would be wise to that. Whatever floats your boat I suppose.
And FunkyFoot...yes I asked most this simply because it comes up in conversation.

I think both 'EDM' and electronica are ghey terms and try to avoid using both. Shit, even Firefox spell check doesn't recognize electronica as being a word!

wiki. is hardly reliable (hence why I didn't bother quoting it, but I thought the article looked fairly legitimate to me) since anyone can post anything on it (there was a case when a guy posted some bs about his friend on it which got his friend in trouble)| quote: |

I think "Electronica" and "Electronic Dance Music" are good terms while talking to people who don't know the many styles, just as a term to incorporate the whole scene.
What I absolutely HATE - people that come up to the dj booth and ask you to turn off the "techno", when it's just house. That word is used wrong more than it's used properly. Probably one of my biggest pet peeves. Can you tell? lol
