Yes I did... Ferry finally pushed me over the limit. No longer could I be a board lurker...

If anyone is wondering about what mix of 4 strings Ferry played it was

4 Strings -Take me away (Coast 2 Coast mix)

Posted by Taub on Apr-07-2002 04:27:

anyone meet/see Daphna?? was she there??

Posted by hakky on Apr-07-2002 04:56:

i cant believe ferry was here and i missed it. the worst part is that me and my friends drove past exit and were thinking about going there, but then they said forget it. if i knew he was here, we would have definitely went.

~6:30 Dave Matthews Band - Space Between (remix) - this was the encore

so, now for the cool stuff:

I am glad to have met all you TA's down there. One of you -whose name I still do not remember *oops* has my phone number.. call me! We hung out together all night and -imho- it was a blast.. damn Soo many good shows

I loved that my shirt really stands out, i think like 3-4 ppl. noticed me -remembered me- because of it only..

I was going nutz to carte blanche and all the punk remixes he threw down (3 if that one guy, CT, is right)

well, i will be back to NYC more often, since there are TONS of schweet shows coming up -and i still don't have enough

and now for all the people who did not show:

Wow this definitely qualifies as my top clubbing experience to date.
I loved it that he started out the set with TranceSetters - The Saga.
Unfortunately I got to Exit about a few hours earlier than Ferry came
and was forced to listen to the "all to soothing" sounds of Dj Theo who in my opinion is horrible, maybe thats just my taste. Too progressive for my ass!!!!
Once Ferry came on I got totally into it, some of my peaks in the night included:
Ralphie B - Massive

Ascension - For a Lifetime(Alex Gold vs. Coast to coast remix)
When he dropped this I was cheering like crazy!!!!

System F- Out of the Blue(2002 remix)
OMG, for some reason at the peak of the song, I really felt like I was in Ibiza!!!

Btw....someone said that when he played Push - Tranzy State of Mind....someone said they felt like they were the only one that knew the song..........omg.....i felt the exact same way....I think I was the only one with my hands in the air when he actually dropped it.

Does anyone know the name of the song right before clear blue water.....it sounded verry emotional and very much like his own production....would this be the new gouryella track????

Posted by Thomas Datt on Apr-07-2002 07:16:

i dont remember when the gouryella track came on
but all i can tell you
is that it ha da very classical feel to it, the main melody that is
just like tenshi, only much more dramatic

Posted by EnigmaT on Apr-07-2002 09:11:

Ferry was awesome!!!!! I didn't know what to expect when walking in there and ended up walking out very happy. There was plenty of room to dance and I think his set went from about 1:45 to 5:00. I just wish they turned up the volume a little more.

drizzt81, it was me and my friend who were chilling with you the entire night. (EnigmaT not CT). Had a great time and hope to see you at Scot Project and/or AVB. My friend lost your number so you can just PM me with it.

The music couldn't have been better. Between PVD & Ferry, I had a much better time at Ferry.

One song that I'm sure he played that nobody spotted was
FUTURE FORCE - EUPHORIA (One of my favorite tunes)
He might have also played SUNSTAR aka Ferry Corsten - SUNSTAR (RETAG PROMO)

Posted by Freeza on Apr-07-2002 15:11:

Ahhhhh I should of went. So has exit not been that crowded lately?? I am definatly going to see Armin there!!!

hard to say.. hmm

PvD did not spin that many Punk remixes, which i love right now, but he spun 'for an angel', which is a classic...

I think i still liked PvD better

but it was close

Taub, were you standing at like the right hand side of the DJ booth (if you're looking at it from the front) with like 3 other kids most of the nite? also, NO ONE knows the name of the song he dropped like 3 or 4 before tranzy state of mind?? its definitely something popular becuase people went crazy and i am pretty sure i heard it before. it has a very synthy sound to it

Posted by ekstacy on Apr-07-2002 21:51:

Hehe, you can proove it to me by getting those DJ's to play at Exit first, before saying that they already are resident DJ's there. There is talk about Paul Van Dyk coming back to New York in June, and you say he'll be at Exit in June, so that makes sence.

But here's what doesn't make sence. There is no talk of Paul Oakenfold being there yet nevermind being a resident.

Actually when Ferry was here in Boston I did get to talk to him for like 5 or 10 minutes...But still even if you talked to Ferry Corsten for how ever long, I don't see what that has to do with Paul Van Dyk or Paul Oakenfold being monthly resident DJ's at Exit. Even if you do bring them to the club once, how do you know that they will want to be residents? The only reason why I replyed is because you said that Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk ARE going to be residents at Exit. Now you replyed with "I suppose once they play here" blah blah blah. You shouldn't post stuff unless you know 100%. It gets people like me excited for no reason. Peace and respects

Posted by Thomas Datt on Apr-08-2002 00:27:

im not getting anyone excited and i do know for a fact
how do i know
its because i am friends with thorin aiello
thorin is a major promoter, if it wasnt for him we wouldnt have seen these new friday night parties
and i didnt mean just talk to ferry like fans do when hes either going in the booth or leaving
i actually got to hang out with him cause of my status
being close friends with thorin and all that other crap
so when i say we are going to have oakenfold and pvd as residents
those words are coming from thorin, who throws these partes
if you still dont believe me
fine im not gonna say i told you so when the time comes
you should be happy im letting you people know ahead of time
rather than bitch about it

Posted by Thomas Datt on Apr-08-2002 00:29:

and ye sorry if i sounded like i was bitching

take care

keep in touch

Posted by Freeza on Apr-08-2002 00:33:

All I'm saying is that you shouldn't say shit unless it's 100% You said that they are going to be residents there because Thorin says so. There are no contracts signed yet. It'd be cool if you said that Exit MIGHT be getting those DJ's as residents. But it's not 100% yet, so you shouldn't say they ARE, you should say they MIGHT. I'm not trying to bitch (even though i probably am) I'm just tryin to figure out what is "fact", and what "might be happening"

Posted by Thomas Datt on Apr-08-2002 00:38:

lol ok ok fine
we might have them as residents
so if i know for a fact thats its 100% sure they will be residents
would you like me to get in touch with you?

i think you would lol

thats why you should lemme keep you people updated on exits friday night parties

[email protected]

Posted by Freeza on Apr-08-2002 00:47:

No, you don't have to get in touch with me, just post it on here. If someone else doesn't first

Oh and by the way, there's no dresscode for exit right? And are camara's allowed inside? $30 right? I'm planing on going on the 19th. Thanks in advance.
