Yep.

Posted by mezzir on Mar-27-2007 05:57:

yeah T, i'm with everyone on the calcium
you could just take a suppliment or find a multivitamin that has a decent amount
and ang was right, women's bones stop growing earlier than men so while you're still under that age mark you should get as much as possible

/heard an hour-long special on osteoporosis last week on npr at work

If milk doesn't do well for the body I really need to know wtf my 4-6 glasses a day does to me. I mean, if you know me well you know I have an addiction to milk, I drink it constantly. I know too much of anything isn't good for you but goddamn it taste good.

Posted by mezzir on Mar-27-2007 06:01:

milk might do the body good

Best things I found where to drop a huge amount of sugar intake, concentrated fats, caffine, highly processed meats and split the vegetable-meat content to about 60/70%-30% or so as meat does have a number of fairly important minerals and vitamins in it for your health.
If you're sort of iffy about dumping meat altogether, maybe switch to lean white meats like fish, pork and poultry.

But that said, most of us have varying metabolic rates and bodyfat ratios so what works for one person might not work for another as a complete diet. If you're dumping meat I think it would be worthwhile to stock some multivitamins, kelp tablets and something else with a daily requirement of Zinc and Iron.

Workouts, I do a set of pushups and situps every morning and try to get in about 30mins to 1hr light cardio like walking through the day and some callisthenics at night.
I also drink 2-3drinks a night and eat a lot of red meat without any appreciable affect

Milk is hard for the body to digest. It apparently takes more work for your body to digest and process milk, and thus takes away from the process of your body filtering out and successfully removing all of the toxins and garbage that are in your body from other things.

I don't advocate not drinking milk, because I like it, and think it is good for you... but too much is not good for you.

If I wasn't drinking alcohol right now, I'd drink some milk.

I just.. I don't know. My 4 closest best friends HATE milk and really don't know how I can just pour a HUGE glass and drink it just like that. As a kid I was just so attached to milk

I bought tonnes of fish and beans to make up for my lack of meat. I also take 900 mgs of iron supplements each day. On top of that, I am taking vitamin C, and B12 with my iron to help the absorption.

I am not permanently cutting out meats... only for 3 weeks while I am detoxing.

Youre right, everyone is lactose intolerant, its just that some are more than others. We cant fully digest cow's milk.

Breasts FTW.

Should be alright for protein then
Try the kelp tablets though, they're really good for your hair, skin and nails, plus lots of trace stuff in there you can sometimes miss out on.
