Not his best work, but i wouldn't label it electro-house just because it's bad...

Posted by SPANIARD on Mar-30-2007 16:14:

Rubbish.

works great in a club

Hm, I really enjoyed a few of his older dark and driving tracks...

This track isn't bad. I don't know though... he's really good at what he does (the driving trance), so his attempts into a more groovy, house-oriented vibe aren't really working as good... but hey, everyone starts somewhere.

It's missing that funkiness that house delivers.

Heard it on his myspace a while ago - really not digging it

I don't really see where he was going with this track.

Posted by DJ Mikey Mike on Mar-31-2007 06:06:

This is fucking shit.

Posted by kingchinc on Apr-01-2007 21:04:

this is an absolute banger and a treat in the club

Posted by Quethas on Apr-01-2007 21:10:

Another SvD that doesn't really give me any reaction. Not bad but definately not good either.

The whiners will undoubtedly moan about this for the rest of the year until someone creates another thread and/or this one gets closed.
Regardless, my opinion is that this definitely ain't his best work.

It's still a very clever production with just the right subtle minimal edge to a club-oriented track.

One thing that Sander does better than anyone else is traverse sub-genres and he puts that to decent use here.

Posted by Prism on Apr-02-2007 16:55:

absolute gash

Did you just compare this to Minimal?

these days anything without a melody is minimal. if armin plays a tune without melody = armin goes minimal!

No one is comparing this to garbage, now go back to your hole.

My apologies for enjoying all kinds of EDM and finding it odd that someone would compare this to something totally different (which, if you actually read his post you'll see it appears he did). I'll never do it again. Terribly sorry.

You're talking to the same dude who six months ago was declaring anything short of trance complete shit, yet hes now playing Matt Rowan & Jaytech tracks...

In a year he'll be playing Ame -Rej and declaring that whatever you like at the time is complete shit. The cycle continues...

Posted by DJ Mikey Mike on Apr-02-2007 19:04:

starboy makes me laugh. He's very quick to play the defensive when trance is getting slated, but he has absolutely no qualms making huge sweeping generalisations like the guff above. Nothing but a childish, hypocritical little tallywacker.

Posted by Clovis on Apr-02-2007 19:07:

Tallywacker...

Why doesn't that surprise me?
