to hell with Karma.. you can justify it by doing a service to the community (well, the e-tard community) at large by busting the Guv.. long overdue, imo.

Hopefully Buddhism does not access ones 'motives' as well

at what time did the cops kick everyone out?

David Morales @ Stereo - March 31

There are too many things that happened on Saturday night, and I have no time to get into details right now, and I just have one thing to say. David Morales was just starting to give us the most incredible party of all times, when we were asked to leave the building.

As David Morales said, it broke his heart to ask everyone to leave the building, and with the music he was dropping, it broke my heart that I was not allowed to hear everything he had prepared for the night.

Unreal the techno tunes he started to drop after 4:30am, and it just left me wanting more, and I will probably will go out tonight just because I still have this energy in body that I had saved for dancing all night long.

I have seen Stereo hyper full many times for Morales night, but when we were asked to leave, the place was not as packed as other nights. I might be wrong, but I don't thing the place was at over capacity last night, and after walking to my car, and seen around 15 police min-vans parked in the Berry Square, I guess the police was expecting a riot after what they did or planning to do last night.

Although there were lots of angry people because of what happened, almost everyone behaved very well when leaving the building, once again showing that our community is not about violence, something that other segments of our society should learn from us.

You'd be suprised at the amount of styles Morales is known to work into a set...

Sussex and Wellington got some bad muthfkers, man.

These so-call diva djs are all playing techno these days, or tech house ...Chus and Ceballos, Calderone. Even some trance djs are playing tech, the only time I can dance to trance.

I've been seeing alot sets on the net where Chus is playing all house since late 2006. His warm up set at WMC was more like progressive house.

together C&C played lots of different genres at Heaven a few months ago, I was surprised to hear some tech house outside of customary tribal..was a nice add to their set.

As for Stereo, that is too bad and someone's probably gonna lose a job or something. I would love to see that sort of crackdown in TO, some of those clubs way overdo it there with the overcrowding.

well the way i see it... maybe stereo should have been more careful? I mean, its not like they didnt have any warning. It happened at Satoshi... fire marshalls came in... nobody allowed in and out for a good 30-45 minutes.

shouldnt Stereo have taken note of this and be careful for a little while? like come'on, the previous week the fire marshall comes in to check on you and the week after you overpack it.

maybe for some of us it didnt look overpacked from other events. but that is maybe because it always been overpacked.

if you got a warning at some place while parking your car, would u go do the samething again the day after? i dont think so.

maybe money talks louder...

jaking the price up wont help either, they should just have a better door control.

totally sucks for most people that shelled out 30-40$ for not even 2 hours... seriously... will stereo do something about that? its not like any of us kept their bracelet and we cant keep our tickets. probably not.

insider job or not, stereo still broke the law and in case of a fire, we would all have been fucked. since the disaster that happened in the 70s in a montreal club... montreal has one of the toughest law in north america regarding those things.

Posted by malek on Apr-02-2007 17:26:

jacking up the prices controls the number of people in, better than trying not to "let in" people.

at 60$ there would be less people wanting to go

ya then it would turn in a place of preppy people and "look at me i have money". lots of people couldnt afford it and it would change the type of crowd we have in there.

if they control the damn door, it will work.

fuck 60$... could u imagine on the big nights? damn it would be cheaper to go to ottawa and go to club heaven...

Posted by Allied Nations on Apr-02-2007 17:35:

Jacking up the price would seriously damage stereo's rep- but then again, so does not letting people in/kicking them out.

lol @ predicament.

so its up to them to move to accomodate more people but thats sacrilege.

There's no real solution to this, either you let more people in and get fined and ruin your rep, or just jack up the price.

Allied: i don't think we'll ever see W or Tribe type of crowd at Stereo... i wouldn't be worried about that

or actually count the people that goes in... and when u reach ur quota u stop letting people in.... then you will have crazy line ups like aria back in the days because people would have to get there early to make sure they can go in...

Posted by Spin Laden on Apr-02-2007 18:28:

some of this comes back to bouncers. Part of the reason for overcrowding in TO is b/c bouncers get greased there when the place is already packed.

Posted by Enjoy on Apr-02-2007 18:36:

Mmmm... grease.

Posted by Spin Laden on Apr-02-2007 18:46:

Stereo, Parking and grease go hand-in-hand.

Oh don't worry I don't think that either, just that jacking up the price would hurt its rep with it's regular clientele more than anything.

IF the police monitored every club to inspection code, no club would be open, most would be over capacity.

I wouldn't go as far to say there would be no clubs, I think ticket prices would definitely rise, or a lot of the after hours clubs would have to be licensed to make up for lost profit in ticket sales.

the same goes for everything else, this country is based on the honour code, police can't watch everything at once.
