I'm quite shocked. I didn't know Guster, but I've seen him around, he seemed nice. RIP
What did he overdose ? Its a sad day for TA

Posted by tubularbills on Apr-05-2007 07:55:

i knew i remembered him for some reason - lived just an hour or so south of me. never got a chance to meet him tho. damn.

I saw Jonny's msn name & I was immediately numb. Regardless of how well we knew the guy or didn't, he was a part of this place, and as Xeno's posted one of his replies in a thread I asked for help in, he was helpful and generally seemed a fun guy. Sure people will call it a fake or something, but I'd like to think that nobody who really likes this place could pull something like that. Sadly I've begun to realise personally that everybody has a time to go, and a lot of us won't make it as far as we perhaps should do under ideal circumstances. RIP dude.

When I first read the thread title, I thought the guy was just retiring his s/n and starting up a new account. How unfortunate that this is not the case. I didn't really now the guy, but we've crossed posts from time to time. Last thing we talked about, was acid and DXM. Guy knew his stuff. I too, am curious to know what he OD'ed on, but if that question is somehow deemed "disrespectful," then my apologies.

R.I.P. Guster. From one crackhead to another.

I was just about to say this...2 months it's a shame.

RIP Guster

Reading this actually made me teary eyed. I didnt know him but it's sad hearing of a TA that died, and so young. May the lord welcome him with open arms and watch over his family and friends.

Posted by D-res on Apr-05-2007 10:08:

I really hope this is a joke.

If not, R.I.P. bro.

I talked to him on a semi-regular basis on AIM. Definitely a good guy. He'll certainly be missed

Eep :/

rip.

Posted by Ygrene on Apr-05-2007 11:01:

Oh this is terrible.

I remember Guster from that picture of him with the parking cone on his head, and his fraternity membership, and I'm pretty sure he was semi-heavily interested in bike racing. I genuinely enjoyed him.

My condolences to you in your time of grief.

Peace be with him.

It's weird to never really "know" people from this website and still take their death like a personal thing.

I'll echo that. When someone spends time communicating with you, and in threads, you do get to know a bit of them, even if it's not always the real them. Sometimes you have sadness, sympathy or other feelings like dislike depending on it, but it's always sad when something like this happens.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Apr-05-2007 12:12:

Hm, I don't really know what to think. I've seen far too many "OD's" and "deaths" in my time to believe it just like that.

Indeed, it's odd how much this news both shocks and saddens me, especially given it was someone I really didn't "know" in the traditional sense.

The kid was a quality member here, and will be sorely missed.

Rest in peace Guster.
