-- Racial slur on sofa label stuns family
Pages (3): « 1 [2] 3 »
I wanna buy this couch off her and give to to Jay for birthday in May!
The sofa was made OVER SEAS!!!!
In alot of countries there are no negetive conetations to the N - word wat so ever. Its just the term to discribe someone of that race.
Sure it might be offensive, but this is what you can get when you purchase products from other countries.
She said she is going to file a formal complaint to the human right commission. Lady get over it. It a ugly world deal with it.

Its the equivalent of simply saying black person, Ni**er is an alteration of the word used to subjugate and label slaves. Much different, yet funny nonetheless, russian fobs can get in trouble sometimes when they use that word.... |

Negro means black in Spanish and Portuguese (Latin: niger = "black"). The term negro, literally meaning "black", was used by the Spanish and Portuguese to refer to dark-skinned people. From the 18th century to the mid-20th century, "negro" (later capitalized) was considered the correct and proper English word for slaves and freed slaves of sub-Saharan African origin. |
Plus those words are much more funny anyway, especially "chernush".| quote: |
The owner of Cosmos Furniture, Paul Kumar, no relation to Romesh, said he was upset to learn packing labels on products he sold carried a racial epithet. |

They're both the same thing, and were both used to label Black slaves: So if you're Russian, just use "chernush" or "chernomazui" and you won't have to deal with any nasty slavery connotations. Plus those words are much more funny anyway, especially "chernush".P.S. LOL |

Honestly tho, the women should just fuck off about the issue at hand. I realy doubt that the labaling was done on purpose with the agenda to offend black people. Its just that the country that it was made in the N word is simply a discription of a persons colour. Its not a racial slur or a statement about someones culture or anything like that. It is just a word the discribes the colour of someomes skin. Its just like the word black, while, yellow, brown. |

first thing i was taught when i came here from russia is not to call a black man an n word. Btw black people that live in russia are alright with others calling them that
this is bullshit, 100% says someone in that family created then plastered that logo on the sofa with the intend on starting up a law suit. Boo!

Words are only as deep as the definition/meaning we give them.
Racism is only as deep as the words we say.
On the same note, you're all GAY!!!
(my definition of gay is: full of or showing high-spirited merriment, cheery)
