Whizzoooott, I will be there.

But late. Either 12ish or close to 1, but we'll be there!!!

Dave

I'll see you guys there. +5

Too bad I had to wait for the final OK's from some friends, and had to postpone the ticket buying, so now I paid too much. But it should be some fun.

Who's got my birthday drinks? lol

Posted by progressiveMOJO on Apr-13-2007 22:28:

I plan to be there, but some friends are trying to convince me to go to 1015 instead (and I am resisting because I dislike the Freestylers and want to see G&D)

chic behind the decks is mavie marcos of andain. i heard the bassbin twins were also backstage hangin out? what remix of teen angst was that?

Posted by JohnBeaver on Apr-14-2007 18:26:

Track of the night for me was the crazy remix of Bjork-Hyberballad!!! ANYONE KNOW WHAT REMIX THAT WAS!!!!

Posted by DaveT on Apr-14-2007 21:10:

Good fun last night!

Good music, good crowd.

Was good to see some old faces at the event that I haven't seen in quite some time. Jer, Pete (Bassbin Twins), Eric, and a few others. Been at least a year since I had seen any of them.

Believe the last track (or maybe next to last) was a new Andain track because Josh had Mavie Marcos (the singer) stand with them during a track they played.

Speaking of Mavie, a moment of looking real dumb! Josh was asking a couple of us to get "something Marco" ... thats all I could hear. I was like "Marco V?" and he was saying yeah (so he obviously coulnd't hear me well either, lol)....little did I realize he was trying to get someone to get Mavie Marcos from Andain who was there. Someone else figured it out when he just said "the singer from Andain." Hehe...darrr....*retarded* Felt like an idiot. Ha!

good time overall, thanks again to everyone also was wondering if that was mavie (watched her performance at TiC clip too many times) but couldn't really tell because of the lighting until someone else told me. forgot to take my picture with her

first time taking pictures from the stage at ruby skye (eddie haliwell doesn't count -- was way to faded ) http://www.nextlevel.ws/rizo/070413

also don't ever give josh your marker

great pics! also davet pointed out bassbin twins to me but after i had told bassbin twins we were wearing the same shirt

Rizen, you have a great f/1.8 prime lens, but it appers you suffer from the same problem I have with mine (I have a Canon f/1.8 50mm prime lens). It's so hard to focus on wider shots. Need a focus-assister (like what big flashes use). I had no patience and stopped using it, lol.

To help point out peeps...

Josh, Dave, and Mavie...she is singing, so it was obviously a new Andain track they were playing. (BTW, I've heard the album is turning out awesome from a friend on the east coast who got a sneak peak of a bunch of tracks when G&D were there like a month ago -- he says it's gonna easily be better than the G&D artist album!).

That's Pete aka Bassbin Twins talking to Josh. Kinda near the end of the night G&D played a track that had that Bassbin Twins sound to it...and asked Pete if it was something he worked on and he said yeah. Shoulda asked if it was his own track or a Bigtop (Bassbin Twins + G&D) track. The track is was tight! Pete is awesome. He's so low key. I first met him in 2003 and it wasn't until maybe 8 months ago that I even knew he was the Bassbin Twins. Whenever he would mention G&D was playong a track he worked on or a track he worked with G&D on, he'd always go "this is a new Bassbins Track" or something like "G&D just finished working on this track with the Bassbin Twins." -- he never gave a hint he himself worked on it. I discovered he was actually the BBT when I saw his pic on AM Only months back, lol. Maybe if I had actually gone to a BBT show, I would have known! Def gonna try to stop by and see him in action when he plays for Opel at Mighty on May 19, the same night J00F plays at Ten15. Double header night!!

ya really annoying, people think the AF assist light is the actual flash sometimes so I try avoid taking pictures of people unless requested.

Yeah. I'll sometimes use my big flash's AF assister since it just uses a red beam ad then focus, turn the flash off, but it back on manual focus and snap a shot. If I leave AF turned on after turning the flash off the camera will often try to refocus again on an object with lights.

MANNNNNN!!!!

pretty good turn out for a friday night. the line was to the end of the block at 12:30 when i stepped out for a breathe of air. i ran into everyone for like one second and then lost them for the rest of the night. i didn't even know cyber joe was there until i saw him in rizen's pics haha. nice pics btw! i liked alain's set, g&d's i'm still undecided about...

Posted by progressiveMOJO on Apr-16-2007 08:05:

I was a bit disappointed that I didn't hear any of my real favorite G&D productions, and disappointed that they did play some mix of Tracking Treasure Down (or at least the vocals). But it was still a good night, and a better than usual Ruby Skye crowd I thought.

also recognized Juergens - Love It. And damn, I still love that song and I love it even more on Ruby's sound system. Didn't recognize a lot else because, well, I don't listen to much trance these days. Still fun to dance to now and again, especially as very drunk as me and my friends were.

Posted by R!CH on Apr-16-2007 08:17:

fuck they played love it? i missed that... i was thinking i missed it when i was upstairs or outside, but did they play eleven at all? that's wack if not

Posted by progressiveMOJO on Apr-16-2007 08:34:

didn't play eleven unless I was outside during it, which disappointed me a lot. it's my favorite song they've ever made, and I wanted to hear it on that system.

Love It was in the first hour of their set if I remember, I was pretty altered that night but I clearly went nuts when I heard the first bit of the intro and realized what they were playing.

Posted by R!CH on Apr-16-2007 09:14:

you should have been there for the jan '06 digweed show... i was standing in front of the floor stack when he dropped eleven and that was the hardest i've ever been owned by that club it sounded so perfect, sooo perfect.
