And you still go to Toronto to party, no?

Posted by TranceDuT on Apr-10-2007 21:50:

The Buffalo area, has about 1 million people is you add the suburbs, the actual pop of the city is about 350000 people.

Funny that there is such a culture difference, with a little over an hour drive between us.

last summer i worked with club 246 radio. i had written them a really intricate plan to market the station and the music in Buffalo and surrounding areas--they ended up hiring me but having me promote a small club in hamilton. by the end of the summer i was promoting for dragonfly and guv in the buffalo area.

but i spent time during all of this talking to club owners/managers in buffalo and djs and other contacts i made in toronto but everything seemed to fall through. people in the area just don't take the scene seriously, and anyone who is involved in toronto knows this. its getting better now with opium, off the wall, etc doing what they do but buffalo is still a tough crowd

anthony attalla in 2 weeks at opium lounge though! yay

I'm happy with the scene in my city.

On a different note, where is Prespa, I have never even heard of it. Someone said something about the elmwood louge...anymore info on that?

Posted by TranceDuT on Apr-11-2007 00:59:

Prespa is on Delaware Ave. 2 or 3 blocks past North st., toward downtown.

Good progressive on Sat nights.

Yeah, I've got some big plans & ideas, but timing is everything. I could waste a shitload of money if the time isn't right, and it isn't right now. Although, with this waterfront development, and the resurgence of Elmwood, things should pick up even more in the next couple years.

yesss to anthony attalla!

Posted by Oldman1313 on Apr-11-2007 02:46:

So i just checked out the prespa website and some online reviews, looks like a great place to spend a night. Whats the normal age crowd and is there an actual DJ or is just mp3?

Posted by progbeatz on Apr-11-2007 02:49:

Prespa usualy has 2 djs on saturday i think that switch on and off but both very good, cool place to chill, kinda small but def cool place and good beer selection!

Posted by DigitalMP on Apr-11-2007 03:09:

Prespa's 21 & over...go see Aaron at the bar, and tell him you want the "fun-size"!

Can't wait for Attalla!

On another note does anyone know what is going on with OPM and their licences? I know lately they have been having their events at other places.

Gotta love your Kiss 98.5 Non-DJ's.

Posted by sweetie570 on Apr-11-2007 21:22:

Yeahhh. Nicholas Picholas? Awful. Just Awful. I went in there with a friend Djs and he introduced me to him and said I was learning how to dj, he looked at me and said I'm not a good example don't watch anything I do. Its just funny it came out of his mouth. My friend spins house so as soon as he saw him there he played Miami and like I said, right back into the hip hop.
