Man, I'm glad I decided not to go to the local bar to watch the game. I'd have had to crawl out by the end!

Oh yeah. Luongo? What pressure?

Posted by SolemnThirsty on Apr-12-2007 16:48:

Naslund was possessed last night...skating and dashing, stick handling and leading rushes, throwing huge hits in OT and blocking shots. Naslund is looking like a great two-way player. Cowan has a massive night in OT with all of his hits and energy I hope Cooke and Burrow will be back in on friday game.

great game from the morrison, naslund and cowan line. props to playing short two forwards most of OT as well. Here we go!!!!!!

Enter the Wing fan

Come on people , the class of the league is playing there first game tonite against the good for nothing , most selfish captain no nuts flames tonite , G O W I N G S GO !!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by xtr3m on Apr-12-2007 20:04:

Yeah, too bad we won't see Bert squishing Phaneuf tonight.

Posted by SolemnThirsty on Apr-12-2007 20:43:

^phaneuf is the hardest hitter in the game. phaneuf game breaking hit on datsyuk. this serie will be the battle of Kiprusoff vs Hasek.

Way to go van city

Posted by DjCommisad on Apr-12-2007 23:28:

watch hasek sprain his groin and be booed out of the nhl forever.

it comes down to datsyuk proving he's worth that 6.7 mil he just got over the next while.

i love my myspace vid, phaneuf vs ruutu, the one where phaneuf fell.

all the western games are so incredibly even compared to any other year. dal and van having identical records, nsh and sj both being high flyers with two goalies they can floor, min and ana being defensively built with two goalies who have great years, and det and cal who both rely on leadership and systems with a mixture of youth and experience. if ana and cal play physical watch out.

btw, i was dying everytime i heard the crowd chant TURCO YOU SUCK, god I wish I was at a playoff game (4 OT periods is too much).

class of the league? maybe so, but their fans are horrible.

there were MORE fans at 12:30am in Vancouver on a Wed then there were in the third period of a Red Wings 4-0 lead. Wow. I saw more empty red seats in the lower bowls then red jerseys. You paid your money and you either don't show up or don't stay when your team is winning 4-0 in the third? I had heard Detroit was having trouble selling tickets but wow. Behind the Calgary bench there were 3 empty and 2 full seats. Usually its loaded behind an opponent bench with fans jeering the opposing team.

Liechtenstein got me thinking...

Actually Ticketmaster had tickets available up until the very start of the game. You could even buy 15 in a row.

Posted by SolemnThirsty on Apr-13-2007 05:18:

^but what was the price range for those seats?

Posted by 35 and hooked on Apr-13-2007 05:33:

Big Ears you guys know shit

the wings are the most successful franchise around , they have a season tix base of 18, 000 , you are just mad we finished off the flames in 3 periods and it took the nucks 7 and they lost 4 players .

Posted by xtr3m on Apr-13-2007 05:34:

I'm not mad at all; just having a discussion.

There was a funny moment today when TV commentators got disgusted by the octopus thrown on the ice.

you could also buy tickets to canucks last nights game at below face value
silly scalpers

speaking of tickets, a guy i work with is offering playoff tickets for sale, his family has the season tickets. dont think he's asking much above face value, which is $171. so if anyone badly wants to go to one of the games, let me know, i'll pass on the word

gm place has been sold out, what was it, 168, 169 consecutive games in a row, and considering only 41 a year are at home, that's 5 years running.

i just hope the flames win because they'd be more fun to play against in the next round

btw, i'm not mad. i respect some of the wings players. then again i also respect the fact they're one of the few teams that they have dmen using their sticks as canes. so handicap friendly the wings organization.

Actually, dozens of people were turned out yesterday; all of them got their tickets through Craigslist. Apparently the pieces of paper were simply printed on home computers. So beware.

I got my game 5 ticket through Ticketmaster during that 10AM sale.

Detroit's a great franchise that turned things around in the 90s and have been a model for success. I only wish we can follow in Hockeytown's traditions. Love Wings fans, love their jerseys and hope they knock off Calgary.

See you in Rd3!

wings fans? i thought i was watching an islanders home game until i realized the people that had showed up were wearing red.

third period was alright, but man, they need BODIES in front of turco. you can't beat him cycling the puck all night, when, in fact, dallas lets you cycle it.

the sens and penguins game, on the other hand, from yesterday, was quite exciting
