I've also grown to dislike top 40 with a vengeance, due to the same people who request the same exactly songs week in and week out. I could rant for ages, but I won't.

LOL.

I think it was you that in my drunken stupor I requested Ferry once. I think you said you'd love to, but you didn't have Ferry on hand

Haha. That was probably one of the other DJ's there. I've had Ferry Corsten since I started there and have dropped him a few times as well. Most of the time I sadly have to tell people I can't play a certain artist because it's too obscure/heavy for my top40 driven bosses (ex - tiesto, paul van dyk, avb.) Fucking hick town.

edit:

That's pretty much the reason I don't dj their busy nights anymore... I played the stuff anyways.

Oh yeah.. and for the record. I did get my shoes back. Aren't happy endings great? (not exclusive to massage parlors)

That's hilarious. I should really get into that show. I burned the first 2 seasons on dvd and still haven't gotten around to watching them.

You don't even want me to list all the shoes I have. Trust me!

Let's just say that I do a bi-annual "shoe switch" in which I take out all my winter shoes and substitute them with all my summer shoes...and the huge shoe rack I have in my closet is definitely lacking in free space.

Fuck that. I love a good pair of thongs. Flip flps ROCK.

I like my cheap 30$ flips from Boathouse more than my Berks at this point.

(EDIT: I guess i didnt count sandles/thongs in my shoe count... I have a pair of old berks i cant bare to part with enough though they are massively falling apart, and two pairs of flips... one of which, the Reefs, i just got form a buddy bc he knew i loved the beer bottle openers on the bottom of them! GREAT PARTY FLIPS!

Lol, I've never considered sandals/flipflops shoes. Footwear, yes, but not shoes.

There's lots of EDM remixes there that actually appeals to EDM crowd. Some actually have hip hop influences.
Like that electro Cypress Hill remix. Fun tune

Yeah, that is true... and we played a healthy dose of those (Global Deejays etc...), but the other stuff still managed to piss the owners off. But it wasn't just the EDM music either.. it was them wanting to hear wedding music all the time and me refusing to play certain tunes. Maybe I'll slowly be able to fix things in the coming months. If I can't.. I'm not overly concerned. I don't plan on being here much longer (for once I won't be a TOTA in Belleville, haha).
