Muppet show LP given to me when i was about 5
First record bought:
Prodigy experience LP
bought when it was first released
oops
My first vinyl..."Invisible Touch" by Genesis
first vinyl
alter ego - Transphormer .... so huge
i'm softer now
The Knack - Get the Knack
Was a couple different ones at the same time, 2 of the best in the lot however were:
Daft Punk - Alive 1997
Three Drives On A Vinyl - Greece 2000
humm
Laurent Garnier - Wake Up!
Feck, that's going back some... Mid 70s to be exact.
First record I ever bought myself was probably, ok don't laugh I was 6 or 7 at the time. Boomtown Rats - Rat Trap 7". This is back in the day before the 12" single had been invented.
My first ever LP was Adam and the Ants - Kings of the wild frontier
First record that could be considered vaguely dance music was probably Malcolm McClaren and the World Famous Supreme Team - Buffalo Gals.
First 4/4 style record was probably Fast Eddie and Jammin' Jason or Jack your body by Steve Silk Hurley. In that time also Nitro Deluxe - This brutal house.
The rest is history as they say.
Cheers
Nem
my first two vinyls were (bought them at the same time):
nofx - fuck the kids
nofx - louise and liza
i wonder if i still have them somewhere. oh and i've never bought a single vinyl since, but i did won some random trance tune white label from chemical records one.
i once bought solar stone - solarcoaster disc 1 accidentally though. i was supposed to order the cdr, but i pushed the wrong button. but i'm not counting it as it wasn't intentional and i sold it right away.
i can almost remember my first cd though. i remember the cover but can't for the life of me remember the band it was. anyway it was some bad girl group dance music.
