I think the pop argument, probably goes the furthest to explain the reason.
Now the real question is, why is pop music as a whole pron to such behavior, from its fans and artists/performers?
Also, trance DJs have far more time to do those other things. When your transitions are pretty short, you have lots of time. Its not that trance DJs cant mix (lets not go there) its because the music is different, and lends its self to a different mixing style.

because kids like trance and kids are what makes most things popular. look at all the pop artists and stuff. someone like brittney spears will have the # 1 album but i wont know one person that bought it. same for trance. its what most people start listening to when they get into EDM. one of my friends actually calls it beginners electronic music and i actually fully agree cuz thats how i was. now i can't stand it at all.

Originally posted by Cosmic Fur No, because you asked a question that has an obvious answer (as explained by digi), and was cleverly made to give Househeads an opportunity to shoot their mouth off (as is displayed by jennypie throughout this thread). I think I'm going to start a thread asking, "Why is House music so fucking gay?", and see what kind of responses it gets.

Originally posted by Chris Allen Yes, because that was my point

Originally posted by Skipper What are you on about? This is an honest question and was not started so house people could say this or say that. I'm not even a "house head" myself, so wtf? You should probably start a thread that asks why you are so ridiculous, not asking why house music is so gay. Although maybe that question has an obvious answer too!

Originally posted by jennypie That's sort of a lame attitude to take. Aren't you a DJ? Don't you think being open-minded to all kinds of music will do more good for you than bad? I personally wouldn't pay to see a DJ who sticks with one narrow format. Plus, turning your back on your past is ghey. You should respect your roots. Where's the credibility? Oh yeah and the whole "fuck trance" thing is so over.

Originally posted by electro funk actually i still agree with what i said...in my case its the truth. to you maybe it isnt. just because i used to like something i should still like it? that makes no sence to me.
trance attracts newbs. When i loved trance i couldn't stand listening to house music, house sounded like shit to me but now its the other way around plus trance became much more commercialized and the productions are nothing like they were back then.

personally i don't get excited anymore for a markus/armin/tiestocle show, as some of the other ppl on the board. been there done that. ppl's tastes evolve. there's no need to bash trance b/c we've all been there b4!

Originally posted by Cribby She never said it was loser music. If you look closely she's only been attacking most of it's fanbase....

Originally posted by Cosmic Fur My fucking ass she did. It doesn't take a genius to read between the lines of her posts. You can't directly insult the fanbase of something without indirectly insulting that something itself. That thing and its fanbase go hand in hand. Go up to a group of guys in a hip-hop club, call em losers for loving Hip-Hop, and then when one of them is breathing down your neck, try to backpedal by saying that you weren't insulting Hip-Hop itself. See how far that takes you. The fact that she would even try to hide behind that poor defence is utterly pathetic.
well we can go on all day saying trance fans are this, house fans are that....but in the end they are all the same
all fuckin Etards!
so just STFU and lets all move on .. PLUR!
