i want them to put in a toy train circuit going around the room and it would have little blinky lights and all the sketchies would follow it around the club and scream every time it passed by

With your logic, sportcasters would say "well they haven't played the game yet, so let's not have a pre-show. Let's just talk about the game after it".

The discussion builds anticipation for the renovations. Hell, I wouldn't be caught dead at Guvernment anymore, but I'd go to check out the renos.

i for one am very excited. i've been going for 6 years and nothing has ever really changed. i think they redid the floors once or something. but for a place that i have spent so much time, money, blood, sweat and tears, its awesome that they are renovating

Hopefully the skasians have been bulldozed as well.

This is highly possible. The new environment might creep them out, they will have to get used to their new surroundings

the date in which renovations will be complete is being discussed, hence the thread title. A lot of people, maybe not you, are curious about this.

I personally can't wait to see what they did to an already almost-perfect room.

Posted by Adamo on Apr-24-2007 19:51:

the only thing that will make the renovations a success is if they expanded the washrooms...if not, total failure and waste of money

They asked if they could borrow my walrus but do to animal rights issues I had to say no.

Almost perfect?

How can you call a room that does not have ping pong tables almost perfect?
Ever since I started going to Guvernment I have become obsessed with the notion of being able to be surrounded by glorious asians drenched in glowbeads while listening to the Orphellian sounds of Mark Oliver playing Nalin and Kane-Open Your Eyes for the 9000th time and to be able to paddle a good ball back and forth with a mate in a heated game of ping pong.

Until that time comes I will simply not accept any notion of the room being anywhere near perfect.

as long as when they come back for the first time, they are politely asked at the door if they will mind having new foreign objects entering their envionment.... otherwise all hell will break loose!

i want a running track and a "glow in the dark" bowling alley that runs straight thru the room- that would make me a happy boy...

Along with renovating the Main Room they're also renovating the Acid Lounge, and most likely the Entrance/Coat Check area.

It's going to be SIIIIICK!
