The only thing from this entire weekend I really, really want to hear are the last 5 minutes of Ritchie Hawtins set, and the first 5 minutes of PVD's.

Just for the ->

PS: Anyone who goes to this and doesn't see El-P is fucking crazy.

Ok, sorry, since I'm not a hip hop fan my opinion doesn't count.

Yeah, seriously! It should be you on his place.

Looks like Tiesto will be breaking out the 'rocktronic' anthems.

Posted by Igaryok on Apr-26-2007 05:07:

I'll agree those songs aren't the end all be all. But if I listed every good song that would just take up too much space. So I named the more popular ones - the ones people might be more familiar with.

They're listenable and I like some of their songs, but again, I just don't understand all the hyperbolic praise they receive from some people.

Actually their songs impress me. I was trying to help explain to you where they get their 'hyperbolic praise'. Sorry that other people like them too? Maybe I should just go try and be more elitist in my music choices.

Don't stress Boink, I read that guys post too and he's just a fuckin noob.

Tiesto already played at some bigger music festivals here, I must say his music went down pretty damn well with the (non-EDM) crowd.

This how events should be... a little bit of everything

hopefully all the EDM noobs love tiesto and become "trance" addicts, and then discover that there are better producers and dj's out there.

imagine the transtion..Paul set up these days is what? 2 MIDI keyboards, trigger finger pad, mystery blackbox (if solved, i stand corrected), 2 laptops, Rich will have his xone and laptop action.. could be interesting.

Multiple platinum albums, longest #1 song at 81 weeks, most number of #1 songs on Billboards' Top 100, 30+ awards, and that they play more than just one genre (punk, rap, heavy metal, alternative, etc.). Not to mention their live sets are amazing (get the Slane Castle DVD)

That's like saying Tisto is one of the best djs and producers ever because he won The Poll three times in a row and sold hundreds of thousands of records.

At least the crowd isn't going to hear The Anthem from him... Only one fuckhead in that lineup is so ridiculous to play it.

Something for everyone offers nothing for anyone.

Try googling 'exit festival'.

I highly doubt he's going to play much trance. Probably mostly dance remixes of rock songs.

Seriously. I really hope someone captures it on film - it's going to be absurd.

Oh fuck, Imagine PVD trying to mix out of Neural Block into Anthem
