any idea on the times......makes me nervous that its on a friday, and probably during the day.

Sounds like a SCHLEP! How long is the subway from Manhattan to Williamsburg anyway?

I am totally worried about that also. It's an outdoor event so it can't go past 11:00 PM unless for some reason there are other rules over there but I doubt that. I hope they do a 2 day event cause the friday looks tough for a bunch of folks.

you don't have to wait for made to release the info. Someone with initiative should contact the parks department for the info. I'm pretty sure they will tell you about the permits.

To get an idea of how big this location is, check out the map on the link below: It the space to the right of the track and soccer field. It's almost the size of the entire track!!

the L train?!! eeps

well im SURE the neighborhoods/train stations have gotten a LOT better since.

Its just evoking memories of high school, where an option to get to school would be to take the G train at Roosevelt Station to the L and taking it past Lorimer and Bedford to get to the First Avenue/14th street station back in the day...

i used to hate taking the L train back then

Posted by phoenixBEBE on Apr-30-2007 18:42:

hmm $30 tickets are NOT a bad price for this...

This is just a knockoff of PvD in central park. . . .still may be a good time tho.

Iono. Still think Daft Punk will be the be all, end all of the summer.

Posted by Dirichlet on Apr-30-2007 18:58:

If this is at a reasonable time (i.e. not 5pm), I might make it up there... def looks interesting

Posted by made-event on Apr-30-2007 19:06:

well if you're spelling it with an 's' you are surely going to have an issue.

try http://www.made-event.com

Why? Is it not a safe area?

Posted by DaCarez on Apr-30-2007 19:13:

Made Event: I know this might seem like a Captain Obvious question for an outdoor event, but this is 18+ (i.e. not 21+) right?

Sounds sweet!

Edit: Twilogoddess:
Didn't someone got shot on the L train in Brooklyn not too long ago? All I know is that, and that it takes FOREVER to get one (at least in Manhattan going from 14th/8th to union sq.)
