There's still 6 days to go in the auction.

though i love their look and sound, the prob is rotary. The rx7's motor is more tempermental than a dsm and prone for breaking. Dont know if you know but if anyting in motor goes, your goign to have to replace entire engine...this can become problematic if...you dont have money and that can happen even with a good tune. As said earlier usually modded means beat the fuck out of. Even if it has 1000 miles it could of been raced hard for the 1000. Its always a risky buy...another problem with that kind of horsepower your goign to run into is traciton issues depending on boost levels per gear if he's using avcr. But its your money, car looks great, but i would be hesitant.

Expensive as hell to replace/repair when you crack it... and you will...

In other words, this engine has been blown up and rebuilt around the 71k miles mark!

Extreme pain to drive around town unless you have a bionic left leg

Uses so much fuel it's scary, also quite pointless as he's not upgraded the fuel pump.

And all that together with no aftermarket engine management, fairly pointless
No dyno sheet
No service history

It's at best a 1/2 or 3/4 finished build and being a rotary, the nature of the engine and how it works just means you end up putting oil in it all the time, they burn a LOT of fuel and have the torque of a lawnmower at under 2000rpm, which makes them annoying to drive.

HA!

I'd like to see that FAKE ad sell for 45K. I can't believe people are even bidding on that. The buy it now at 5600 gives it away.

LOL Even real ones dont sell for that much.

i've always attributed the prices for RX-7s to sellers wanting to make extra $ off drifting wanks

now i have a better perspective (maybe)

even though you were really close to getting FIA grade c you are CLUELESS about rotaries. obviously. you have to rebuild the motors due to the Apex Seals going bad around 70k. a full rebuild kit on a rotary is $1000. also in a rotary rebuild you must make sure the rotor housings arent too worn and dont have any blueing or warping or the coating coming off. should i continue?

and for those disputing price: a heavily modified FD will fetch 50k+ to the knowledgeable buyers. an FC (the 86-92) fetch about half that. stock FD fetches between 8.5k and 20k. FC between 4.5 and 10k. USD of course.

and the factory FD was NEVER 50k. it wasnt even 30k! MSRP was 22900.
