im all for everyone having their own opinion and all but for fucks sake movies are for ENTERTAINEMENT purposes. why are people so fucking nit picky?! i dont get it. yeah ok you thought it was boring. fine. it didnt follow the comic or whatever. fine. does all that matter really? no. the point of the movie is to entertain you. give you something to occupy your time for 2hrs (or however long the movie is)! is it really that hard to just enjoy movies for what they are? not saying that you shouldnt call a shitty movie shitty. just stop and think if your trying to compare things and be too critical.

that's not really most of people's concerns with spiderman - obviously it's not realistic, it's a super hero movie! The thing that ruins the film for us is the cheese! All the sobbing, crying, and making up and ending with lines like "i will love you forever" ... come on, that shit just isn't necessary and, yes, it ruins the WHOLE movie for a lot of people.

That's pretty much why I hate rotten tomatoes and all the review websites, I know my opinion will differ greatly. If I go and read all the shit those idiots have to say on those strictly review sites I'd only be focusing on what's so bad about the movie instead of actualy enjoying the plot and events as they unfold and making my own opinion of the inital concept of it.

To let you know... Eddie Brock/Venom was indeed a skinny guy in an alternate vision of the Marvel universe in another series of Spiderman comics so Topher Grace's rather tiny appearance compared to the one Brock is like in the "regular" comic series, is pretty accurate to an extent. All the main characters were quite a bit different in that alternate vision of the universe as well and have had alot different life story.

Spiderman 3 combines lots of elements from these 2 different perspectives on the characters and on the movie all'n'all. I haven't even seen the movie yet but according to the trailer i've seen i can already say there are ALOT of events and scenes which mix up things between the universes. Nevertheless, to make an entertaining movie, it doesn't really matter unless you're a nitpicking turd.

I've been a comic book fan for over 20 years, yet i've only really enjoyed a handful of these comic adaptations over the past 10-15 years, first 2 Spidermans and first 2 X-Men being among them. Most of them have still been ok as basic entertainment, which is all they are meant to be instead of being critically acclaimed academy awards worthy serious drama. These comic book based movies aren't even meant to be taken seriously for a bit, just to laugh, laugh some more and maybe enjoy the ride .. If you can't do this, then i guess you should go watch some other kind of movies instead of wasting your money into these, huh.

For the emo issues.. Peter Parker/Spiderman has always been more or less an emo character in the comics, like sobbing alone in the dark, and lots of "i love you forever"s and things like that have been said over the years in the comics too so it's pretty spot on to use such lines in the movie as well. Obviously if you don't know this before seeing the movie, it might suck big time for you.

well as mentioned by others maybe you should shut your mouth and go read the comic before you start bitching and moaning about this! he was always a little emo bitch. ALWAYS!

and im not saying spiderman specifically isnt "realistic" but the point was dont be all stupid about a movie because something in it isnt realistically possible. just take it for what it is. entertainment.

jenny: hehe it goes a little deeper than that but thats the jist of most of it.

So um...I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime? My brain produces something like 10,000MW compared to these 1W chumps. It supplies power to most of the major cities in America. Actually right now i'm sitting in a dark room with cables connected to my head that suck the power from my brain and feed it to these cities. Soon my evil plans against Spider-Man will be complete and I will break free of this dark room and rampage across the U.S., shooting deadly bolts of electricity from my anus. Yeah it's generated in my brain, but I don't control where it naturally comes out.

It certainly would be interesting to see what kinda stuff you'd pull out of your ass in real life, lol. But I'm cheap/poor/broke so you're paying for the potatoes.

edit: Loooooool @ the W reference. Get a job!
