Despite the fact that I still listen to trance a lot, and will still go to certain events, I get so annoyed with over-crowded places like PACHA and dont feel the same about that sort of scene that I used to. The whole vibe is ruined by the crowd in these clubs. Plus I am beginning to enjoy harder beats, like tech-trance and harder-paced techno like Liebing and what not. Still getting used to the names and such lol . I dont know much about minimal AT ALL, except that (what I see people referring to) is a slower- paced beat that is just too boring for me. I still like it rough

Richie Hawtin @ TIMEWARP 2007 MANNHEIM

Thats minimal techno.

considering sven started as a trance dj it's not surprising...he mixes a lot of different genres in his sets and yes, at times he does trance out and i have to make my yucky face

Posted by bobba lou on May-07-2007 17:12:

lol I know thats why I listen to hard bangin techno and techtrance quite often. I listen to it more than fluffy trance recently. I just talk about trance more because I go to the events a lot more often. I dont personally know a lot of people who would go to Liebing, preach, dave the drummer, etc with me, unless I go back up to chill with my canuck friends And remember, that techno is still new to me and I need to filter out who I like and who I dont before my broke ass makes a committment to spend money on it. LOL

minimal is still *meh* to me, regardless of how hard people try to convince me otherwise lol

dcctnyc: lol at yucky face!!

I was surprised at how early in the night he was playing trancey sounding tracks.

Kristin got lots of trance last week. Sasha was dropping some old school sounding trance tracks last Sunday @ Love, too.

you konw it shouldn't be about convincing...yuo should just try it out and that should be that...ive been getting into other forms of music--mostly rock--and the only way for me to konw that I like a artist/band or not is to check out their music in whatever capacity possible...it really shouldnt take this much convincing...it should be more like "do you like them or not??" and that's that...no need to go through an entire system...last i checked, there are a lot of EDM artists on myspace....
