Have a short second name so needs to be quite long or sounds weird, but like names that can be shortened when in a less formal setting too. Also would give the middle name of Charles for a boy (after granddad) and Margret (after grandmother).

Boy: Matthew (Matt) or Sebastian (Seb)
Girl: Katie or Heather

Good choice! Matt's a nice name!

we need more Bort license plate keychains in the souvenier shop. i repeat, we need more "Bort" license plate keychains.

/Simpsons.

anyways,

I want to have more than one kid (which probably won't be for years), but anyway, my first born:

boy: Luke
girl: Lynn

i think my second kid, i'd pass on my middle name (regardless of gender), as it was my ma's last name and since she had all sisters, it wasn't going to get passed down. so my middle name was her maiden name. and i'd want one of my kids to have it as well. just not the first. i dunno why.

I really like the name Victoria for a girl. But that may change b/c I dont think my husband really likes that name.

I have no idea about a boy's name. Maybe Christopher with another spelling.

We cant agree on what will be their last name, I never took his last name when we got married and I would really like to give the males my last name and the females his last name. I have a long Polish last name and I want that carried on b/c I dont think there are too many of that surname.

I suggested hyphenating their names, but then my kids will have a 17 letter last name. I truly believe that the kids should get one name from the mother and one name from the father, but it would make their life very difficult. After all I couldnt spell my last name until the end of 2nd grade.

I do not want to do the traditional take the father's last name. I am done with the whole patriarchal society. It is so unfair that women are the ones that should give up their names.

In my case choosing a last name is going to be more difficult than a first name.

Boy - Cole Edward
Girl - meh... I don't care. I would probably like to have her middle name be Irene, or Bell though (named after my grandmother).

haha that is an awesome idea.

imagine if my parents did that. ppl have a hard time believing that we are twins. imagine with 2 different last names

Something NOT too exotic or "original". I don't want to traumatize the little bastards by naming them something ridiculous.
