Theresa word of warnign about the IUD. my good friend had one put in last year as she is epileptic and her meds for that cancel out the effects of the pill. usualy doctors dont recommend an IUD for women who have not had a child already as apparently when they install the thing they manually dialate the cervix which is horribly painful for the woman. my frined was in tears afterwards and i had to carry her from the clinic to my car to get her home, she couldnt even walk afterwards. took her a couple days to get back to normal. but it works well, just hurts like a bitch to get put in.
my advice.... baseball bat and a flight of stairs...... kept me child free for 24 years :P

I have never and will never take birth control.
We mostly use the pull out and cum on stomach/ass/thighs/tits/face/hair/in eyes method.
i thought you were going to get your tubes tied?
i've been on the pill for 8 years, with little-to-no problems whatsoever.
started off with Ortho-Tri-Cyclen, but then moved to a lower-dosage pill about a year after that because i was having mood swings and a decreased sex drive. i've been bouncing around on a few different low-dose pills ever since then, depending on who my doctor was and what my insurance covered. for a while i was just getting free samples from my doctor since my insurance didn't cover contraceptives.
i asked last year about switching to the shot, but my doctor told me that it was mainly for girls who couldn't handle the side effects of the pill. she basically said, if you don't suffer any major side effects from taking the pill, just stick with it... so that's what i've done.
i don't notice any side effects at all, plus knowing exactly when i'm getting my period (and being able to schedule it) is fucking rad. it's not a hassle for me to remember to take a pill every day. in fact it's just become part of my routine and i barely even have to think about it anymore. i've spent most of my years in serious monogamous relationships, and i hate condoms, so it's been the best option for me.
frenchie: theres one that lasts for 10yrs too! i have a friend that has an IUD and she said it was painless getting it done. she loves the thing too! no pills to worry about taking or missing a day.
and for the guys. the ONLY condoms i have found that seem to be quite good are Beyond Seven. the aloe ones. never had a latex condom as good as this one. they are very hard to find so i just buy them online.
and the pull out method is a fucking crapshoot. so why you would choose that method is beyond me.
