Markus flew out here for that little shindig in Oakland for someone's birthday...for free! Dude from here (Spective...quit DJing a couple years ago though) paid for Markus' flight and hotel of course! Spective was one of the the finalist for Markus' first bedroom DJ contest that year. Don't remember if he won or ot.

Spec is a great guy! He didn't win the contest though, I think he got 2nd or 3rd. Wish he would have continued. Shame he never posts here anymore.

Just got home...

Feel like I was wearing a tee shirt that said "Please bump into me, ram into me, or completely knock me over, and then not apologize or give a shit".

Music was fun.. Dan rocked it as anticipated. MS was seemingly very energetic for the evening as well.

I beg to differ. I've been a fan of Markus since I moved to Arizona in 1995. I used to go see him at this gay 18+ afterhours club, called The Works in Scottsdale. When that closed, he went to a club in Tempe called Pompeii, that later became Freedom.

I've got a shit ton of audio casettes that I used to record his Saturday night broadcasts of The Edge Factor. The tape in my player right now is Josh Wink w/ Markus Schulz dated 11-09-97. During those days, I could go down to his store Plastik Records and shoot the breeze with him.

I win.

That is unless you are counting Markus whores after he left Arizona.

I agree. I went to see Markus, not Dan. But I thought Dan had the better set of the night. Nothing in Markus's set really stood out for me.

I generally avoid going to the same club two weekends in a row cos I start to feel like a barfly but next weekend is Christopher, so I will see ya all there.
