then if the yankees beat the red sox tonight i think its a sure sign that we're gonna win the world series....

nightlife in NYC is getting killed by greedy club owners and bad promoters....when the customers stop getting ripped off at the door and at the bar then the floors will be full again..

If you want a bench mark to see how bright the future could be,, then it should be Patterson at studio or spunky at love,,and not a free boat party with the most popular dj in the world playing......

of course,,,its to say thankyou for all the support we've been shown since buying the place five years ago....

i just wanna say thanks to Pedro the pedophile gardener,,Mike the Jehovas witness,,Mick the spliff ,, Boris the switch hitting wife beater and Bill from "Bills bate and tackle" without whom none of this would have been possible....

It's a free bar if you get here before Sunday,,,and musical entertainment will be provided all the way from Mexico by Mr "Tae Seol"....Not only will he dazzle you with his ability to mix seemlessly but he will astound you by his ability to smoke copious amounts of weed whilst doing so...

Michael is the funniest person in dance music since Vtec dressed up as Boy George on a boat and saved house music....According to Ruben....

1.) The Yankees suck so they will not win the World Series.

2.) The scene is much better than it was right after 911 (the point Ruben was making.) So far this year every time I've gone out in NY it's been a great time with good music, good vibes, and everything else in between so compared to past years, the scene is getting better.

3.) The majority of the promoters getting ripped off are people throwing parties at the BIG clubs like Studio. Places like Sullivan Room, Le Souk, Cielo, and some other have no problems packing it out on a weekly basis and most of the bull shit drama that goes on at the big clubs does not happen at these parties. The scene is what you make of it. If you pick and choose your outings wisely then you will have a better outlook on the scene as a whole. Being a good friend of Ruben, I only seen him out when it's really worth going out.....so I'm backing him up on this.

4.) Get your ass back to NY and STFU already!

scene is what you make of it, if youre not contributing to solve it, youll always be a part of the problem, and the ones bitching about it are the worst kind. i honestly think 2002 was much better than now or past few years, but fuck cares ? i aint sobbin over dry pussy.

who gives a shit about the scene? all i care about is going out with good friends and getting fucked up so bad we turn into muppets and if that happens shopping at waldbaums then thats where the scene is at.

Clubs in NYC will always be closing. The numbers are dwindling all around the world wherever the club scene had been around for long enough. Now that the "E Honeymoon" had worn off, so has the novelty of going out clubbing for many people. Regardless, what I wrote is relative to the overall trend. NYC sucked for several years after 9/11. It's much better now. If you want to measure that by the number of clubs and patrons, how many clubs were around before 9/11? Probably about four or five big ones. Aside from those clubs, every bar/lounge had a jukebox playing rock and roll, hip-hop or top 40, not a DJ booth like they do now. Back then, if you wanted to hear EDM, you went to the big clubs cause that was all there was for dance music.

How many big clubs do we have today? About the same number. Only now you can hear EDM in smaller venues all over town. Sure, it may seem like there are significantly less people in the scene if you go to a big club. Clubs aren't as rammed as they used to be on every single weekend. However, people are just spread thin all over town in lounges and bars now listening to dance music. If you think I meant that the boat party itself is a reflection of the quality of nightlife around here, you completely missed my point, kid.
