At the end of the day Rafa played some shit tactics. Gerrard should of been in centre midfield from the start. In that free role he was marked out of the game IMO. Liverpool dominated yet Kuyt seemed to be the only player literally surrounded by white shirts.

Pennant tackled quite well and worked his heart out however he tried to dribble the ball like Lennon and Christiano Ronaldo, and made some really shit passes. In all honesty I think the whole entire midfield got in each others way throughout the majority of the game.

Biggest mistake Rafa didn't play two strikers. He should of done that from the start.

It's a pity such a good player like Kaka turns into the little Brazilian fairy that he really is and makes a meal of normal challenge.

Didn't deserve it but neither did liverpool last time:

Well Inzaghi is a two bob **** with cleffed lip. He must be gutted Toni kept him out of the Italian first 11 during 2006. Gattuso the little fat shit should of been red carded too.

However out of the AC Milian team I must say Pirlo impressed me, everyone rants on about Kaka however Pirlo is the playmaker of that team and starts every move top player.

Dont let the fact spoil your bitter rant though!!

What I was saying was that his first comment makes it seem that Liverpools goal was so much more lucky than the inzaghi one, which is stupid.
I like the player who got winded by the ball, didn't know Milan took acting classes, he should have crawled off the pitch so play could resume, like Owen did in the world cup when he dislocated his knee.
He got up and when told to walk off the pitch just got up and strolled off.

milan are a fucking joke, and italian football is the shittiest brand in the entire world. didn't deserve the win at all. liverpool dominated that game. not surprising to see a more equal second half, liverpool were tired from actually running and creating chances, rather than standing around with their hands up their arses.

Posted by Lebezniatnikov on May-23-2007 23:20:

I really hate football teams from Italy. And that especially counts their national side.

Exactly, and milan even made a substitue during extra time, so there was at least a minute left to play.

Posted by trewqy on May-23-2007 23:24:

Milan didnt deserve a 7th win.

and fuck that ref.. totally biased. Milan won ALL, ALL their games when this shithead was ref.

yeah, he typified his performance by letting the milan boys tell him to book mascherano.

I think rafa struggled. he saw the man utd 2nd leg & expected an onslaught. Mascherano man marked kaka very well, and I can see why he only went with 1 upfront but crouch in europe is a no brainer. he's not allowed to even win a ball so there's no point bringing him on. the milan defence was slow so bellamy would've been a good idea.

Penant got lots of space but didn't do anything with the ball, and finnan seemed injured which is why he came off for arbeloa, to go 3-5-2 but it was too late then. Kewell struggled but he's not played more than 2 games all season, so I wonder why gonzalez wasn't given a go. Liverpool missed having luis garcia or a poacher like fowler, plus pace upfront tbh. Add 2 good wide men to the squad and get rid of crouch who's no good cos of european refs, and add a forward of the quality of owen, eto'o, david villa, Luca Toni & so forth and they might do well.

Posted by RapidFire on May-24-2007 01:21:

i still think having crouch in from the beginning wouldve done liverpool some good. they needed a striker like him, especially since kaka was so well covered the entire game. they probably couldve gotten a goal in the first half and that wouldve given them that extra bit of confidence and cemented the second half since they were clearly the better team on the pitch

Posted by fcuk on May-24-2007 04:37:

All you liverpool supporters can't complain use had your turn two years ago, although i think some of the refs calls were lame for both sides. First half was dominated by Liverpool, and 2nd half was evenly poised with Milan just having a bit of fresher legs. If you run all day and make chances and don't convert thats your bad luck, you can't win if you don't convert which I thought Steven Gerrard should've done with that close range shot he had.

If Italian football is so shit why are they so successful in World cup and European Cups? Who gives a shit if you think they have crappy style, at the end of the goal in the back of the net count. Entertainment factor is a bonus which PL seems to have but it is not everything!

FORZA MILAN...CAMPIONI D'EUROPA 07 !!

FORZA ITALIA!!!!

I love how bitter everyone is about this win.

Wow the ref never played 20 seconds. Funny how none of you have mentioned the fact kuyt's goal was offside. Or the fact that kaka was flagged WRONGLY offside when he was through on goal. The ref was shite, but not biased in favour of either team.

Yes milan weren't great but it's hard to play against a side who sit with 10 men in their own half when they don't have the ball.

Anyway, some of you look like right tossers with your bitter rants. Totally laughable, yet again italian footy is on top and you all fuckin hate it.

I wouldn't say Italian football is shit at all. Hell, it's very effective. I would say that Italian football is just painfully BORING to watch.

back on topic: congrats to Milan.

edit: I do try catch the occasional Serie A game when they do show it here in the US

Posted by noikeee on May-24-2007 09:35:

When Serie A was at its peak, the football wasn't boring. Maybe a little slow paced, but not boring. This season was dreadful though.

Very true, during the 90's italian league football was brilliant, the national team however weren't so exciting, and because of this everybody had the impression the league was the same.

This season has been dreadful for very obvious reason (no competition), however next season I predict it to be far better with juve coming back, milan being able to spend a bit more on a decent striker and a challenge coming from roma as well as inter of course. Hopefully the likes of fiorentina and palermo can also mount a challenge for the champions league places..

i dont hate italian football. I hate it when my beloved Liverpool loses.

So piss off.

I agree, don't really like to watch to it either. Milan was very good in their previous CL match against Man U, but yesterday the were just lame

Verndogs: You picked the wrong year to start watching Serie A football because it was a disgrace with all the scandals and many fans know that.

However, a repeat of this years Serie A season won't happen again because Juve and Napoli are coming up and everyone will be starting on equal points. Which will hopefully make Inter to be going back as no-ones of italian football, i hope they know it was a gift for them to win those two scudettos

BRAVO chesco for pointing out how everyone rants don't quite make sense when their teams have lost. We always know its different for Italy and Italian teams when they win and for some sad reason its always going to be like that. I say, shut the fuck up and deal with it!

Posted by chesco on May-25-2007 18:16:

Napoli back in the big time will be class.

Best fans in italy.
