British food is great now, it's changed so much to what people think due to the huge multi-cultural influences in it. Add musically to that the genius of Muse, the sporting prowess of Kevin Pietersen and Monty Panesar and Stevie Gerrard.

There were other cases in our country, and none receive that kind of attention.

We're too busy trying to give the idea that we live in a secure country, and Algarve is still a good place to spend the Summer... damn tourism lobby.

Journalists are beeing damn bloodsuckers though, either the english ones as the portuguese ones. It's pissing me off so much turn on the tv in a particular channel and see all the time the same empty news, the same nothing-to-tell story.

Bah.

Quite possibly my favorite country in the world when it comes to music. Its involvement in acid house, hardcore rave, drum'n'bass, and most recently dubstep says it all really. It's not really about "exports" though, it's just a very culturally diverse place.

My thoughts exactly. If this were a single black woman, it wouldn#'t be shown or be receiving ANY attention, whatsoever.

With regard to music, England has arguably the world's finest tradition of music dating back well over 500 years.

Yorkshire puddings, Fish and chips, Chavs, London, English football and shit weather thats what reminds me of England!!

I don't know if its true to say, but surely the English had a massive impact in the trance scene??.. 98-99 - Cream, Crasher and Gods have all come the biggest names across the world! apart from tiestos live concerts of course..........
