This guy is clearly fucking lazy. It's obvious he didn't even look in the options because you'd have to be called Helen Keller not to see the relevant section for the settings he needed to change.

Do it for me please guys!

Easily Changed my ass, you have to edit some command to put the tracks in the way you want.

Currently its set up for this...

%list_index%. [%album artist% - ]['['%album%[ CD%discnumber%][ #%tracknumber%]']' ]%title%[ '//' %track artist%]
$tab()
%length%

Which makes each track come out like this...

01. Kaiser Chiefs - [Yours Truly, Angry Mob #01] Ruby 3:25

I want it to come out like this...

Kaiser Cheifs - 2007 - Your Truly, Angry Mob - 01 - Ruby

Anyone able to show m how to change it?

Thanks

I've always used WMP. It's always fullfilled my needs perfectly so I can't see any reason to download and install other software. Never crashed, never caused any problems (other than being ressource heavy but most of the time I'm not using those ressources anyways). Tried winamp once and i didn't like it.

dont be a douchebag. you were obviously smart enough to READ the variables and get a clue what it means. if you can do that you can figure it out. get off your ass and do it yourself. it looks harder than it really is.

organize your music into folders and then just load up whatever you want into winamp when you're about to listen to it.

Posted by RapidFire on May-26-2007 19:34:

what makes winamp so much better than Itunes? just crious.

Posted by Platipus on May-26-2007 22:18:

Winamp 2.88 rocks!

Posted by Lebezniatnikov on May-26-2007 22:25:

I used to use Winamp, but it's too high maintenance - constantly reorganizing folders of music, loading and reloading playlists, etc.

iTunes doesn't allow much customization, etc., but for playlist purposes, it fits the bill for me.

I hate the scroll feature on itunes, espically for long sets. Winamp's scroll bar is so nice and smooth and easy.

Hmm, Im using the latest version of Winamp. It takes <5MB in tray, <10MB maximized w/o playlist and <17MB maximized w/ playlist. So ya...

I can't believe nobody has mentioned REALPLAYER FREE

It's compact, fast, efficient, and great for streaming music.

The only reason I use Itunes. The playlists own so hard!

And capitalizt real player used to be good about 7 years ago, now it's all clutter and always has junk attatched to it. Once iTunes came out, I switched to that real quick from real player, which was about 3 years ago.
