Nice, it's about time they had another Montreal labour day massive event. Seems like there's been nothing notable on that weekend since the last Cream.

I've never been to BEB...but as far as I know it's just a big extravagent white party with DJs. At Sensation, they have all sorts of spectacles and acts in between the DJ sets.

Just got back an hour or two ago from Paris! (I'm ready for Ferry tonight )

But all I have to say is...WOW!!!

It doesn't matter at all who's playing, it's all about the atmosphere! 20,000+ people all dressed in white!!

Sensation White in Prague was absolutely amazing! I can't even describe in words how cool it was. Even though I couldn't stay for the whole thing, WOW! I'll post all of my pics on Facebook in a bit, and I have a few videos from the night!

I can't wait till the next Sensation White party that I can attend! Definitely worth it.

sensation is much much bigger and "richer" than BEB, lets face it, 30-40k people at 100 euros a pop, plus huge sponsorships weight more than 14k people at 65-100$ canadians

Well Toronto is easily capable of hosting parties of this latitude, but City of Toronto will never let it happen, it's already hard enough to get a liquor permit for clubs and bars already.

Posted by I_Am_Vince on Jun-07-2007 23:21:

We should all get like a group discount on hotels and coach there, like what Fahad was planning for BEB next year.

People thought that but it's easy to combine melodic house, proggier styles of trance to it. So it's not exlusively a trance party. Not when you have Morillo dropping Cel (looping the beginning) and have a house vocal over the top.

Lisa and Cale: You guys will have a BLAST. It's about the entire event like some people in here have said rather then the djs themselves.

I don't think that's what they're going for. I think it's just b/c trance is not as big in Holland as it used to be.

They're going for variety of sounds, and proggier, more melodic housier sounds rather than exclusively trance 'anthems' go better in recent times. (unless you're going to something like 'q dance' etc)

If it's not big in Holland anymore where the hell is it still big? lol what the hell trance, get a hold of yourself, nice life fuck! hahah

Posted by Trance Nutter on Jun-08-2007 00:41:

Sensation has been more about trends, the last few years have been more and more house as the popularity shifts that way.

Still, the line up is a flaming pile of turd and i'm glad I'm staying in Berlin that weekend

I was told by someone who lives in Holland that trance isn't big there anymore, b/c they get so overwhelmed by it. tatgirl has said the same thing - hearing it from people who live in Holland. Hard style is big there now.

Trance is still alive - I'd say just not as a huge movement...more with certain DJs
