Read the post directly above yours.

It's particularly bad in Wisconsin right now as well, with every other night being called "Jack Yo Face!" or "Jack, jack, jack your balls all night long!" and half the locals saying "Ain't no-one playin' this jackin' shit, yo!"

As bad as the terms "electro house" and "MNML" have gotten on TA is exactly how bad it is with "jackin" house here now.

Green Velvet - Shake and Pop

Check out some Paul Woolford tracks as well, some are "jackin'" and some aren't. I would say the majority isn't but you could probably find some of what you're looking for.

I appreciate the reply, but you clearly don't know what 'Jackin House' is. Check out some of the examples in this thread - particularly from Jan (Sand Leaper) - if you'd like to know what 'Jackin house' really is, that is.

I must have missed this reply first time round. Once again though, I appreciate the effort, but seriously; get the fuck out of my thread.

Well, fuck.

That's a shame.

Also, Mikey - I'm sorry I don't know more about "jackin" house and have sullied your thread thusly with my shenanigans.

Posted by DJ Mikey Mike on Jun-15-2007 01:20:

Edit: I am fucking mullered and just quoted the wrong person. Awesome - Here is the correction...

Woah, hang on sweet cheeks: Shake & Pop was a fucking superb example - I love that track. If I hadn't already been bumming that for about 8 months I might have given you a big fat kiss on the cheek.

Jog on with Paul Woolford though.

lol - direct your internet mwuggles towards Bassel, dearie - he's the one suggesting you all this Green Velvet jazz and suggesting you jack to Paul Woolford

Semi-related note: Green Velvet recently played a block party in Milwaukee that I'm sure would have had you jack, jack, jacking yourself silly!

Posted by Domesticated on Jun-15-2007 01:22:

Claude von Stroke - Deepthroat (DJ Sneak Remix)
Digital Minds - Captain Hook (I like this one)

I was just thinking about what defines "jackin' house" (stupid term, yes).

I think it's the hi-hats. Most techno and trance seem to have a higher pitched, short "shhh" sound, but all the "jackin" songs I can think of have deeper hi-hat lines with more of a long "krrrrr" sound.

p.s According to Ishkur, Green Velvet is "Gloomcore".
