Original Star Trek was cool. Because it was original. And old skool.

Next Gen: A better take on the original, and the best Star Trek series out there (agian, IMO)

DS9: Fucking pathetic. If you like the idea, I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Babylon 5 instead. B5 is one of the most awesome sci-fi series ever made. Period.

Voyager: Meh. And really, the whole thing was kind of meh. I dunno

But yes. Babylon 5 FOR THE WIN PEOPLE.

I don't get why everyone associates the two automatically. They have nothing in common with eachother other than having the word 'star' in the title.

It ranks highly with me also. I liked how the series progressed and how we were introduced to species that were pretty much as old as the universe itself. In one episode they suggested that some other the eldest considered the human race as no more interesting as ants.
I really liked the Shadow creatures (Homeworld: Z'ha'dum) and the power of the Vorlon.

Love or hate the movies, I found Star Trek 2 to be surprisingly good. Really would have worked out better if that had been released as the first Star Trek and they had gotten rid of that incredibly boring plot of the satellite that turned into a living entity. Starship vs Pirated Starship ftw.
