I'm sorry to break it to you guys......but the Mets vs. Yankees subway series is not as important/appealing as the Orioles vs. Nationals subway series....just stating the facts.

LOL....I hope you are kidding cause this goes back a number of years and the Nationals just left Canada for DC a couple years back. Besides didn't you know the Yankees are the center of the Baseball world therefore nothing can be more important/appealing then a game with them in it....ANY GAME!!!

Go Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is weak logic. The mets were good at shelling clemens back in the early 2000's when NOT one current position player was on the team. Since clemens left the yankees the mets have only faced him twice, once in 2004 and once in 2005. Clemens didn't give up a single ER in either game. The last time the Mets scored an ER off of clemens was in 2003 when he gave up one run in 8 innings. At that time the only current regular fielder playing on the team then was jose reyes in his rookie year.

You can't seriously think that the current mets have some sort of propensity to pound clemens because a team with mike piazza, todd zeile, robin ventura, jay payton, and benny agbayani had some success against him. with that said, i don't think he's gonna blow anyone away, i just don't think that the success of the 2000 mets against him has anything to do with the success of the 2007 mets against him.

one can hope. mets have played him strong regardless of what cap he's wearing. he obtained an ND in both those games (houston) which is all one can hope for with him on the mound.

*edit* shelled might have been a poor word choice but those're some of my best yankee stadium moments :P

lol..this thread got quiet. Gee, I wonder why?

Posted by partyhopper on Jun-16-2007 21:14:

Give It Back Glavine was in classic form - blowing 3 leads in the game
Not all his fault though
The LOB Machine was in full effect - the Mets stole lots of bases, but weren't able to get runs out of most of them
Of the 3 Carloses, Gomez has been doing the best. Delgado and Beltran are more like Carlost.

Posted by partyhopper on Jun-16-2007 21:36:

Good rally against Mo to make it interesting, but Beltran continued being a bum

Posted by djquick83 on Jun-16-2007 21:38:

The Yankees Win. THHHEEEEEE YANKEEEEESS WINNNN. LOL. Honestly, that game took like forever to finish. This is why I can only stand to watch football or basketball on TV nowadays.

Posted by jerZ07002 on Jun-16-2007 22:08:

This was an ugly game, especially the pitching.

Thankfully we took the game.
