hmmmmmmm, Cause the first bit sounded class???, Why else would you want to hear a liveset?

Posted by flystyler on Apr-14-2002 15:31:

Sadly i was there and had to listen to that poor excuse for a pvd set. Yeah might have sounded good over the radio, but not that good there IMO. Sod the PVD set, i want the Scot Project set

I'd love the Scot Project set, but since they didn't even broadcast it and he's rather obscure I can't see that happening. At least there's a chance with PvD.

Posted by Keown on Apr-14-2002 15:41:

Surely someone here must have inside contacts from galaxy Radio!????, and can get all those lovely, full livesets for each DJ, with no Commercials, or breaks, in full glorious 192Kbs????

......Any1 ?

trust me, I was there, it sucked, big time, I was extremely disappointed, your better off campaigning for Scot Projects set, I was worried cos he was supposed to play dead hard trance, but everything in his set was so perfect, a true example of a flawless set.

Are you nuts this was no way the best PvD set ever. He could not mix at all. All those who didn't goto this event and reckon its quality are not entitled to opinion in my opinion. In order to judge a set you need to listen to it live. I did and it wasn't good compared to sets of the golden days of 2000. I worshipped PvD until last nite. Mind u his homelands set last year sukked and then he played an amazing set at knebworth. So must be his first major gigs in the uk that let him down in the fact that he canno dial into the crowd. NUFF SAID!

listen to the man, he was there with me! i must admit hardwick didnt play spectacular but he usually plays pretty bland "1st slot" sets...

Posted by Jocker on Apr-14-2002 23:51:

emailed both addresses

Posted by SQ-K on Apr-15-2002 01:34:

Talking PvD's best set yet?

PvD played apparently one of his best sets ever hmmm...

You mean to tell me the man is in some of his best form?

Thank the sweet lord then that he's coming to Melbourne in under a month for a 4hr set

MY GOD I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Posted by richwms on Apr-15-2002 17:14:

this aint a thread to slag PVD off, its to get the set broadcasted, if u want to slag him off make a new one

Posted by evil_bastard on Apr-15-2002 17:30:

Smoking ..umm..something

Loads of us listened to the 45 minutes on the radio and none of us noticed any trainwrecks. Maybe you guys were placed badly at the event.

Posted by richwms on Apr-15-2002 17:37:

my mate has just got a reply off galaxy and it said this:-

Dear Lauren,

Sorry to hear you were not totally satisfied with the broadcast.
Unfortunately we were indeed unable to play all of Paul Van Dyk's set.
This was due to our committment to play a number of different DJs to
reflect a number of different tastes. We actually only played two lots
of adverts an hour in order to allow for a reasonable chunk of music.
Your idea of playing out the full set is a good one and I will certainly
consider it a possibility in the near future.

All the best

what do u mean "slagging off"!

we were all there and the set really wasn't that good at all, so if we feel about it that way, let us!!

I'm a huge PvD fan but he really disappointed me sat.night he was WAAAAAAAAAAY better last year! Even though his beatmatching was better this year...the atmosphere he created last year was superb

I've sent the emails anyhow cuz it's nice to have mp3 material for a trip down memory lane

Posted by thesuperfunk on Apr-15-2002 18:25:

That's fucking wicked news! I can really see this happening now!

Puuuurlease make this a sticky thread for a week or two!

Dear Alex,

You are not alone in your desire to hear the full Paul Van Dyk set! I
am sorry we were unable to play the whole thing but we had other
DJs/other styles to reflect on the night.

It is certainly a possibility that we will play out a special PVD
replay in the future.

Awesome, I might reply asking if it's possible for Scot Project's set, as that's the one I want the most. Does anyone think I should ask for other sets, or do you think pushing my luck might piss them off?
