PS i would also pay for that

We may be renting a larger (and more comfortable) vehicle to make the trek, so I may have room.

why can't there be more of these types of events featuring a wider variety of music within city limits

A festival like that will not happen in Toronto hehehe. Even though its exhausting, I say it is worth making the trek. Trust me, an experience like no other!

my bad, i meant somewhere around Toronto. I know it must be an insane experience, i have a dvd from Fool Moon Festival from Germany and its a similar festival (Psy) they do every year, it's unbelievable... party, people, music, experience, etc...

ok so it seems like a lot of people here would love to have a outdoor psy events happening around here, but do you guys think a lot of people would show up for a big psy party?knowing the fact that this city is all about house mainly . Can we ever get the Ontario version of Eclipse? or how about a psy boat cruise?

p.s lets do a poll and see how many people from this site alone would go!!

Posted by Misanthrope on Jun-27-2007 06:41:

I think there is already a psytrance outdoor festival here.
or two..

Well, my friends, good to discuss about boat-cruises and other psy parties in Toronto, especially when i never see you at any. One of the legendary acts, Ticon, was here playing just few weeks ago. Now, with the appareance of enough "psy-lovers" from TA could have been just enough to help us break even with that event. Instead, some of you chose to hit other events (who else was playing that night, Tiesto?), while others.....what were others doing??

All i'm trying to say is that, while there's no bigger support here for the scene like there's in Montreal, you will not see Eclipse type festivals in Ontario (unless a semi-fake fests created by Guv and the likes with their favorite highlight, Infected Mushroom).

Amen. Get out to some of the quality events already happening in the city before pining for mega-festivals and fancy boat cruises.

I am seriously considering this event...

you need to get off your high horse and stop assuming things. Why do you always think if people dont go to your psy parties they are seeing Tiesto,Armin etc instead?what if they couldnt make it?what if they had work?not that I have to explain anything to you but I was actually on my way to see Ticon but I had to drive a friend to hospital,so no I didnt go see Tiesto

I HATE infected mushrooms fyi, I barely go to Guv for anything, they only reason I went a few weeks ago was to see J00F and I dont consider him "fake",but I guess according to you everyone who spins at Guv is cheese or fake.

...if I can add something.

If you (Shankar) are trying to get other people who post on here AND would pay to go to a good psy set, you might not want to use such an antagonistic tone. If you are a promoter, why are you insulting other potential audience/business? You may be a "true psy" fan of Ticon, but it seems you have a few things to learn about marketing/promotion of the genre? I doubt anyone who has posted in this or the other psy thread even remotely likes Tiesto. Why so pissy?

And you telling me hardcore trancers suggestion to have a psy event on a small boat wouldn't be good for the psy scene in Toronto. You can't build any more positive ambience than dancing on water my friend.

Posted by Misanthrope on Jun-28-2007 02:05:

Sorry, HardcoreTrancer - I think Skankar was making a general statement as well. Unfortunately, I know wayyyy too many people who are like the way Skankar described. On the other hand, I find his parties way too overpriced - which is fine, but not my cup of tea.
