Was the iPod designed, and then a marketing plan created to sell it? Or was the marketing plan created first, laying out the design for the iPod based on what Apple's marketers thought would sell?

I wonder...

All i'm trying to say is, Sony is the only company that is trying to push their own media formats. You don't see Samsung, or JVC or Panasonic trying to push their own media.

That's why Sony is hated...

i have a Sony mp3 player, and it's not forcing me to convert anything into anything

and neither does my VAIO

*confused*

Mp3 Player no, cause that use its internal Hard Drive. But if you had external hard drive, say for like a Sony cellphone, then it would be Memory stick.

Its not forcirng you to convert anything for you VAIO either, but there would probably be a slot to insert a Memory Stick card?

Hey people, you cant just copy the files to ipod. Use i tunes and add you files to your itunes database and setup syncronizing, it will copy them itself so it can write some drm info onto the files before it syncs to the ipod.
