too bad henman went down harder than a crackhead without crack in the 5th set. . oh well. btw, i can't tell if roddick's game has improved or dereased ever since he hired jimmy connors as his coach. there are times he looks real good, and other times, he looks like ass.

Posted by chimera66 on Jun-29-2007 00:11:

sharapova looked good today but did anyone watch the williams sisters play doubles? 6 - 1 6 - 3 and the entire time Luke Jensen the commentator couldn't stop gushing over them, it was borderline odd BUT they rolled through like champs. Venus won twice today...

Posted by chimera66 on Jun-29-2007 15:40:

Jankovic squeaked out a win today and Henin dominated as expected. Right now James Blake vs Juan Carlos Ferrero, both great players and both pretty hot

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jun-29-2007 16:14:

damn Jankovic won? she was about to lose it mentally midway through the 2nd set at 3-3 when they went through a dozen deuces. I think winning that tiebreacker in the 2nd boosted her confidence going into the 3rd.

probably, the rain delay might have helped her mentally regroup though too

Akiko Morigami is giving Venus Williams problems...

serena is my idol

well not really but i like her

Posted by chimera66 on Jul-02-2007 16:28:

Serena crumbled down in agonizing pain for 7min, can't believe she's playing right now. she is playing obviously in pain and can't even walk let alone play. damn! serena just took it to a tiebreak!!!

6 internets to anyone who can spell out one of Sharapova's grunts.

Posted by chimera66 on Jul-04-2007 15:27:

the third game in the second set between venus williams and maria sharapova was crazy not only was it long it was filled with their fucking annoying grunts. i wish someone could put tape over maria's mouth or something to shut her the hell up, i like how she plays but dear god that grunt kills me and she does it ALL the time at least venus can turn it off.

Henin in the semies ! ! ! ! !

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-06-2007 14:29:

this Bagdhatis-Jokovic match is very good. For Jokovic to go back to back with Hewitt and Bagdhatis is really good. he's on a hot streak right now. let's see if Bagdhatis can hold him down.......

Posted by chimera66 on Jul-06-2007 16:10:

^^^Good match, love Marcos Baghdatis but I hope he does well at the US Open, too bad he lost right at the end. Both guy played quite well today.

Posted by chimera66 on Jul-06-2007 17:31:

Bartoli is challenging Henin in the second. Commentators says she's fast but I don't know she looks kinda fat to me for a professional athlete.

*edit - she just won the second set.

Posted by partyhopper on Jul-06-2007 18:17:

Bartoli comes back from losing the first set to knock out Henin, and thwart her attempts at a career grand slam

Roddick had won 18 tiebreaks in a row, but Gasquet just won 2 straight against him, to force a 5th set

Posted by denys envy on Jul-06-2007 19:11:

gasquet takes down roddick in a thrilling 5 setter.

Posted by Kapedano on Jul-06-2007 19:11:

Gasquet doesnt even have a shot againts Fedder. I think Roddict would of given him a harder time but probably still come short.

Posted by chimera66 on Jul-06-2007 19:22:

Venus FTW!

they'll show venus at night i'm sure. i've been sitting on my ass all day watching wimbledon / getting work done and they didn't show much of the henin match at all and the roddick match wasn't all that exciting imo.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-06-2007 20:05:

btw, i like Gasquet's chances against Federer. Federer seems to be on cruise control right now, and hasn't sensed the closest amount of damage. the closest he was in this tournament was against Ferraro, when he broke him in the 2nd set, leading on to win the set. then in the 3rd and 4th sets, Federer went up a small notch, and just wiped out Ferraro. poor him. lol.

imo, i think Gasquet can give Federer a good fight. i vote for an upset.

i liked how they flip flopped between the Federer / Djokovic matches this morning. they showed a good amount of each match to give me information about how the matches are doing.

also, i don't know where football and tennis would be without dick enberg. i hope he never ages.

I don't care how it happens but I want Nadal to win just this once...I love Federer but he doesn't need 5 in a row.
