Ian, will it be raining in Northamptonshire on Sunday ?

Possibility of a shower on saturday for qualifying, but it should (and right now I mean should) be better. Sunday for the race should be nice. Very Nice, but right now things can change so often with the winds/rains we have that trying to predict how things will be for the racing won't be accurate until friday

As things stand here now, we must've had a good half inch to inch of rain once again today, and we're about 1 hour to 1.5 hours north of northants on the motorway

thanks for the first hand update. The rain might be fun though, the race would be really interesting, still even if qually rain mixes things up it should be fun too.

Pretty much. And it's interesting to think about after what Will said earlier about how 200 years ago we left because we were fed up with bullshit. If parts of Earth were still unexplored and you knew there was habitable free land, how many of you would get the fuck out of here?

For most people it isn't celebrating much besides being drunk.

Kind of hard for me to separate the two.

I actually think it's kind of a shame that people are even celebrating today - every time I see a 40 year old soccer mom in an American Flag Sweater or 10 flags hanging off balconies of nearby apartments, I wonder if people are actually even cognisant of what's going on with America beyond their little backyard BBQ and fireworks.

The obliviousness of people in this country is fucking sickening.

I'm officially putting the 4th of July on notice.

I think thats what bothers me most. It's hard to be festive when you know so much about what is going on, and how horrible most of the realities of this country's history are.

Pro Tip: Get drunk, smoke some pot, and work on 15-20 minutes worth of shit in Ableton today, then send it to me

Hahah. I should be sleeping right now. Went to bed at 4. Around 12:30 me and Tigo are going to load the decks + sound in the car and head down to my friend's rooftop party in Long Beach. He has a great view of the Queen Mary and fireworks...should be fun.

I'll fire up Ableton right now and fuck with something...

I'm doing great, but I also care about other people besides just myself.

care or talk about? What community service and charities have you been working with? And DJing for free over the internet doesnt count.

lol... If you'd really like, I could run down the list of all the places and events I've volunteered my time for.

You just let me know.

That has nothing to do with what I'm talking about, and I don't owe you any list of what I've done for community services and/or charities.

I'm in WV and it looks like some monster threw up in red , white and blue. The flowers they gave us in our hotel room are all red white and blue, how cute.

see, the thing is both you and RJT try to come off as these enlightened philanthropists when all you really do is bitch about stuff more than anyone. You havent done or learned anything particularly special. Youve had access to the same information everyone else has had and you decided to be negative. you have 364.5 other days of the year to change America and push for reform. You choose the one day you are supposed to celebrate the liberation of a burgeoning nation from a colonial power as the day to say, thats not worth celebrating, because in 250 years the last 7 were bad and im 24 years old and *I KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT*.

Chill the fuck out, drink a bud, watch the fireworks and shut the fuck up for today. You dont look any more enlightened than any of the other internet assholes, including myself, when you do that. So why not be positive. It takes more energy to frown anyway

so, really, people shouldn't have been celebrating the 4th of july since...well, 1780 then? amiright?

this country's realities? slavery, salem witch trials, basically ahniliating the original people that lived on this continent, i mean, shit i guess because of this country's horrible realities, we shouldn't have been celebrating through our entire country's existence.
