If you cant trust yourself to be around drugs and alcohol, then simply avoid situations where youll be faced with them all together. Its hardespecially if you are heavily involved in the scene (DJing, promoting, etc), which you are, so you should just accept the fact that youre always going to be a raging alcoholic, and are always going to have hangovers. lol
If I get invited out w/ a group of friends who I know will be rolling or doing blow or getting wasted, and I really dont feel like getting all cracked out, Ill just pass on meeting up with them, because I know Ill have a couple of drinks and be like, ahh fuck it, gimme a 40 bag or a pill. Its boring I know, but when I wake up the next day around 10 and its beautiful out and Im on my way to starbucks and my phone rings and its another sober friend asking me if I want to hit the beach or go get some breakfast, Im happy with my decision.
If I want to party, it's on my terms and when it's convenient for me. I know who to call when I wanna get down.

| Originally posted by Aristronica in Schaumburg, IL there's a bar called Dakota's. On Mondays (or is it Tuesdays???) they have a "industry" special. which is basically anyone that works for the restaurant/club business. anyway i used to have a residency at Privilege (few blocks over) during the summer of '05 and, of course, get in on the special. the special was many things, but the most important - $1.50 jagerbombs. one time, and i kid you not, myself and my partner in crime Steve split 23 of those bitches between us (i had 11 of them). Let's just say that I only knew the final count from the receipt in his back pocket and we woke up on his neighbor's porch (who thankfully was out of town). Steve was stretched out on the hot-tub cover while i casually chose the picnic table. there were 3 puddles of puke, one inches away from steve's face, and his carkeys were swimming at the bottle of the pool - which he later confessed i threw there because i didn't want him driving... the fact that we took a cab there and back made it even better. ohh did i mention it was tuesday 2 pm when we woke up? |

YAGERTIME!!

Youve at least overcome the hardest step which is denial
Youre just a jackass I guess. I dunno. Youre still young though. Youll mellow out in your late 20s maybe. Or maybe not. My ex is 31 and he still parties like a rock star and drinks and drives. I dont think hell ever change.

The jackass part was in reference to your inability to control yourself around alcohol when you know you should, not how you treat people.

ooooooh!!!
go ahead n kick some knowledge boy
you're gettin' ooooooooooold!
seriously, just make sure you drink a lot of water between drinks. that's usually my downfall and the reason i end up with bad hangovers even when i don't drink a ton.

who gives a fuck what a stupid bartender thinks.
oh and by the way, it still helps if u just go get drunk and then only drink the water when u get home before you crash. and this isn't something i need to remember because usually i'm dying of thirst by the time i get home anyway from being dehydrated from the booze. your body will react and make you thirsty.
everyone's body is different.
ill drink booz all night and get home and not need any water.
water is for the newbs.
