COD4 definitely looks cool! The video they showed at E3 was sick!

Also, Medal of Honour: Airborne looks pretty sick! You can parachute and land anywhere in the city! Probably one of the first non-linear War FPS!

1. Medal of Honor: Airborne
2. Crysis
3. CoD4

I remember buying BIA back when it was the biggest hype evar and it turned out to be the biggest crock of shit ever and still does look it, so I'm not bothering with that.

I'm actually pretty surprised you haven't heard about it. It was one of the biggest stories from last year's e3...and then there's that hour-long presentation Will Wright made last year...

Nah man. Never heard of it till you mentioned it.

That video is wayyyyyyyyy too long and I don't know what the hell I'm looking at or for. Can you give me a CORe rundown on it?

lol. Basically, you start out as a single-cell organism and progress through the game to build a civilization made up of the race of creatures you've created (completely customizable & adaptive) and take over the world. The whole draw behind it is the way that everything in the world reacts to what you do...like when building your creature, you have a billion variations you can make, and each of them affects the way the creatures can move, fight, interact, eat, & basically do anything. It's not technically multiplayer, but supposedly, the game downloads content to adapt to your game, based on what other people are doing.

portal looked so dumb, imo. No point to it, whatsoever. Then again, there have been more pointless games which have turned out to be a lot of fun.

Small list:

1. GTA4
2. Forza 2
3. New Smash bros.

But really, GTA4 or nothing!

Spore definitely is going to be one sick game!

That game has been in development for a long time now. DA, definitely watch the entire trailer when you get a chance.

Some very cool stuff there.

HL2:Ep2, Portal, Team Fortress 2
Left4Dead
GTAIV
I don't know whether or not to look forward to World in Conflict

the game has some remarkable differences between the modern RTS, in that servers can be set up as pubs, much like an FPS. People are free to join and leave servers until a goal is accomplished or they get bored.
The comments I've read at SomethingAwful say the term "stacked" has crossed over well(or badly), with 2-3 nukes being detonated at the same time from 'veterans' to 'noobs'

taken from the wikipedia
quote:
In a recent interview, Massive Entertainment revealed that there will be no base-building or resource gathering in the game [2]. Instead, players will be given a pre-determined amount of in-game credit to buy units with. When a unit is destroyed, the points used to purchase it are slowly filtered back to the player: thus reinforcements can be summoned to the fray. In terms of gameplay World in Conflict is touted as the spiritual successor to Ground Control, doing away with many of the changes - for example resource gathering - that made Ground Control II more of a traditional RTS game.
In multiplayer games, teammates are able to pool their tactical aid points in order to purchase expensive aids....//such as//call in airstrikes, deploy paratroopers or order the dropping of a nuclear bomb
