get to know what music the club normally plays and play that style otherwise no one will dance.

u may not like playing the music they like but its not about u its about the people going to the party.

Here's one I recorded about a year ago but I still stick by it as the kinda thing I'd use to warm up for a trance night:

The first 10 mins or so (this would be extended to cover about the first 30 mins in a live 2hr warm up) are just designed to put some sound out into the room, some stuff for the early arrivers to listen to and set the mood, then after that I move onto stuff to slowly try and bring people onto the floor.
