Gu Mi on Pharmacy and Lawrence

Good Korean restaurant. Haven't tried their Japanese menu but price is decent and their galbi (marinated shortribs) and bulgogee (beef stir fry) is to die for.

Salad King is on the southeast corner of yonge and gould, right next to Sam The Record Man. well, before it closed that is, well you get the idea

For an upscale brunch, Xacutti on College can't be beat. I've been twice in the last few years and it never disappoints. Get there right at 10:30 on Sunday since they don't take reservations for brunch.

TAVAZO!!!

going to Far Niente on Bay street today, anyone been?

best place for it's value in downtown toronto imo is that Thai place on Yonge and Gould St. (one light north of Dundas or Eaton Center) on the east side of yonge. all ryerson students should know the name of it. if you like spicy then this is definately the place to go. Their spiciness level goes up to 10!! i tried a 3 and i could barely take it my mouth was done for the day. i can't imagine what a 10 tastes like.

HI LISA!

(a website link, or menu would be helpful as well)

Yes like you did! Hehe...not everyone was doing that.

HI JEFF!

online menus are awesome...a lot of restaurants have those now

P.S. Great thread! I wish there was one of these for Windsor b/c we are so limited. I find myself not even wanting to go out to eat b/c I'm sick of the same restaurants.

Summerlicious 2007

just reminding everyone that it's ending this Sunday, July 22nd - Link to list of Participating Restaurants

Anyone out Niagara way should go to Wildfire on Ontario Street (St. Catharines).

410 Ontario Street
St. Catharines
905-988-9453

It is the same type of menu as the Keg, but tastes even better. And the atmosphere is great - open kitchen and bar concept.

They also make the best caesars.

Also, in Oakville is Jonathan's.

http://www.jonathansofoakville.com/

120 Thomas Street
Oakville
905-842-4200

They divide their menu between seafood and steak. I'm not a big fish eater, but the other people I've gone with always marvel at how good it is and the filet mignon is the best I've ever had.

Bastards. I wouldn't really know. If you recall, I dropped my entire meal on the patio. Lucky the 5 second rule applied for the spring roll.

best pho in Toronto?

Pho Vietnam

few blocks north of Lawrence/Kennedy in Scarborough. Fast service (less than 5min), delicious broth, and modern/clean building (unlike most dilapitated shacks that house other pho joints). i go there once a week, all the waitresses know me. )

9/10

most popular Pho?

Pho Hung, chinatown
no taste, busy, fast food pho, not really flavorful. overhyped.

4/10

I'm being taken to the new Crystal Five restaurant at the ROM this Friday for my bday - can't wait, it's going to be so interesting to see the inside of the space and dine up there! Need to get out something nice to wear - I think it's pretty upscale.
